Total Privacy Enjoyed on 100 Acres - H’Owl at the Moon Farm & Cabin

Total Privacy Enjoyed on 100 Acres - H’Owl at the Moon Farm & Cabin

10/10 Excellent
"This was a remote and charming cabin that had a lot of the owner's character with its interesting items and decor. (A different but very welcome experience for sure.) The dwelling was very clean and the AC was spot on in 92 degree muggy weather. The grounds were vast and large with lots of places to walk and get lost. Make sure you have a little bit of clearance with your vehicle as a few of the roads leading up to the property have some sharp 160 degree turns. For the time of year (August), the bugs were surprisingly non-existent. We really could sit on the porch and enjoy it without being bit.The owner was very quick to check-in and respond and had the place well furnished. The king bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms were excellent, and the kitchen was a joy to be in.Our dog loved it there. It was quite a sight to see our dog laying on the porch and stare off into the abyss and take in all the smells and sounds without moving at all. During the day, she ran all over the paths and jumped in the water and was in doggy heaven.Food Lion shopping district is about 10 miles away. Perfect to restock everything. This is a great blend of remoteness and connectedness letting you stress about nothing while enjoying all the owner has envisioned for himself and luckily shared with the rest of us."

"Very nice space for two adults and teen to use to explore Charlottesville and Skyline Drive. Loft worked well for teen, and house was roomier than expected for a tiny home. Hot tub offered great space to relax and watch the sky!"

Cozy cabin for 2 w/ great mt views & walking trails!

10/10 Excellent
"A cozy little cabin in a beautiful setting, with all the amenities you need. The back porch provides a clear view of the mountains, and hiking trails are just across the road. It's very private, and if you want, it's a short drive to Walton's Mountain and The Walton's Museum, which is definitely worth checking out."

Pickleball - Hot Tub - River/Hike - 4 King Beds

Pickleball - Hot Tub - River/Hike - 4 King Beds

10/10 Excellent
"This place was perfect for my family’s five night vacation! It was so quiet and tranquil. My three adult sons enjoyed the bunk room, while my mother and her partner stayed in one of the upstairs bedrooms that had a private bath. My wife and I loved the primary bedroom and bath, and my two daughters each claimed their own king bedrooms. All of the beds were comfortable and we loved how cosy and spacious the home was. There was so much natural light and great views. My sons and I would play pickle ball while my daughters enjoyed the hot tub. Then we’d hike down the trial (which was well marked and maintained) to the creek and splash around and look for wildlife. We saw a few box turtles, fish, and even a heron! The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to prepare meals and eat comfortably. The outside decks are HUGE, covered, and perfect for enjoying nature with your favorite beverage. The listing is 100% accurate. The space is open concept, which we loved, but might make things difficult if you are tying to sleep and have loud children in the living area. As advertised, there is a standard picnic area charcoal grill outside that we enjoyed. Some might find it small if cooking for a larger family, but it worked great for steaks for my family of ten. The outdoor fire pit space was perfect for s’mores, just don’t forget your favorite bug repellant. We had such a wonderful time that my daughters are already asking if we can return next year!"
