"Lorraine is a great host, providing so many small touches that make your stay so comfortable. The house is cozy but not cramped The mattress was also very comfortable. The winding staircase is tight and could be an issue for some so keep that in mind. The location is quiet and peaceful"

Bedrooms with their own bathrooms on either side of the cabin, a beautiful overlook balcony of the river, and huge windows everywhere to take in the scenery. The owner was really nice and easy to communicate with via text and gave helpful instructions to find the place. It is far off the main road so I suggest traveling in an SUV or a car well off of the ground. My only star taken was for the accuracy of the listing as it says...

"A really charming and quirky house, perched on an overlook above a bend in the James river. Very friendly host, nice grounds, and plenty to explore in the surroundings. We did some outdoor grilling and a fire in the pit on a very starry night. The kids were disappointed that the hottub wasn't working that weekend, but there were plenty of games and some swings nearby to keep them occupied."

"This cabin was perfect for our family. Very clean and organized. Well appointed kitchen with plenty of supplies for us to cook some meals together. Our girls loved the loft with game table and spending some time in hot tub which was clean and perfect temp even for them. The decor of cabin is cute and welcoming. "The cabin was beautiful and very well appointed! The kitchen had everything you needed to make a full meal and we made a couple while we were there. There were board games, books, DVDs, dog treats and dog bowls, toiletries and plenty of towels and blankets. The backyard outdoor space felt secluded and we enjoyed seeing deer cross several times during our trip. Overall very impressed and would recommend!"
