"We stayed 6 nights at this property. With a kitchen and laundry machine, it was like a home away from home. The kitchen cabinets and countertops were old and due for replacement, which I believe was planned for this year. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay as it was conveniently located between the beaches that we visited in north and south Kohala. Staff were super friendly. Towel exchange service was definitely a plus. "

"Wow! Just wow! This property is amazing! The pictures do not begin to show the beauty of the view from this house! The grounds are meticulously kept! The fruit trees and plants, we had planned on going back to the botanical gardens outside of Hilo but there was no need, everything was growing right there! Is the House a little dated yes and I was a little uncomfortable with no coverings on the windows but there truly is no one else around. The house was super clean and the AC kept it cool which is what my biggest issue in booking was! The Host Cemille and Derrick are absolutely amazing! Fresh fruit every time we saw them! So nice and helpful! We hope to be back very soon! "

"This is a beautiful, spacious country side property. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a complete spice rack, olive oil, some coffee, sweetener packets and creamer. Liked the 2 queen beds (one sofa bed) and a king. Most places here have full instead of queen. Bath was well stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Shower floor was non-slip. Hair dryer provided. Our favorite thing was the free petting zoo. Many goats, sheep, ducks, dogs and a cat. They love people and will come up to the fence to greet you upon arrival. These guys are don't smell and they are not noisy. Something else was noisy on the first night. Every 3 seconds, ko-key, ko-key, ko-key! It was loud and seemed to be right outside our bedroom window. We asked the owners, who live next door about it. Raul and Stephanie are so wonderful and kind. Gave us earplugs and said it was a frog. The following nights, the frog could barely be heard far away. This home is very close to attractions like the Boiling Pots and Kaumana Caves. Rainbow Falls and Akaka Falls are nearby. Kilauea is about an hour away. We had the live cam on You Tube running all night on the big TV, waiting for episode 33 of the Kilauea eruption. As soon as it blew, we got in the car at 3:30 am. and drove to Volcano National Park. The drive took less than an hour. For us, witnessing the eruption was a once in a lifetime experience. High recommend this property! "

"Everything about our stay at the Red Ohana 3-bedroom was amazing! The home is beautifully maintained, thoughtfully equipped, and incredibly comfortable. The location is peaceful and perfect for exploring Waimea and the surrounding areas.But the real gem? Laura. She's Waimea's best kept secret - warm, responsive, and full of great local insight. "Clean and private cabin within earshot of waterfall and a million coqui frogs. Friendly and helpful staff provided all we needed for a relaxing stay. The only negative we experienced was the poor WiFi, which we needed for trip planning and checkout."

"Our stay here couldn't have been better. The photos available online simply don't do this property justice. It is exquisite. The design of the house harkens to a bygone time with genuine authenticity and yet there is a timeless quality to the design that never makes it feel dated or no longer relevant. So many spaces for family and friends to spread out and enjoy but also so many thoughtful touches that make the home feel intimate and comfortable. If the opportunity ever arises, we would not hesitate to stay here again."

"The studio apartment was a charming place conveniently located close to many amenities (cafes, groceries, restaurants, etcetera). The staff was very friendly and eager to help. Waimea was our base to explore other areas such as Pololu valley, Hawi and others. The manager was very helpful in providing local information of good restaurants around all the multiple areas we visited. It was always good to have an insiders' point of view. Thank you!"
