A Relaxing Getaway One Mile From Sandy Beach At Bantham, Nr. Salcombe, S. Devon.

This cosy getaway, nestled in a peaceful valley offers a rustic homely atmosphere amidst beautiful rural surroundings, 1 mile from Bantham’s sandy beach famous for its surfing. It is well presented and equipped, sleeps 5 in two bedrooms, bathroom with shower, kitchen/dining area with hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge/freezer. The lounge has satellite TV/DVD, selection of books, games, DVDs. All rooms have electric heaters. As mobile phone signal is poor there is a landline telephone for use if necessary. Outside is a veranda and contained lawn area, a decking area to enjoy the sun into the evening and sounds of the stream running along the valley. Willows has 2 parking spaces at the top of its driveway with a turning space. The site has slopes and steps and may not be suitable for the disabled. Well behaved dogs allowed at extra charge of £20 (2 maximum.)

Extra cleaning and sanitising measures are taken to ensure the comfort and safety of the guests. This includes 'fogging' (fumigating) the property after disinfecting and therefore check-in is now not before 5pm.

Super host and rental- cosy , welcoming and literally had everything we required. It was great having a fenced and gated garden so our dog could potter safely around. Have a wonderful relaxing stay.

Needs declarer, deep clean and update
The standard was not what was expected. Damp in twin bedroom and we had teenagers with asthma, no Wi-Fi working or internet or TV. Manager away. Lodge cluttered and dated. Very tired and I’m need of updating. Disappointing garden not well maintained, hoover didn’t work and not secure with lock on door.

Such a beautiful property in a stunning location. The cabin is just perfect and you are only a mile to the beach. Dartmouth is an easy drive away as is Salcombe. We cannot wait to come back!

Beautiful location close to the beach
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin with our two young children. The location was perfect for a short drive to Bantham beach & not far for other beaches in the area. The kids enjoyed the garden & watching the birds at the feeders. The cabin is well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen, games, beach toys & books. Even with neighbours about it was very peaceful. We got good phone signal and WiFi as well as streaming movies on the smart tv. Thank you Astrid

We had a brilliant week at the Willows cabin. The cabin was clean, cosy and had the feel of a home from home. The cabin is well equipped with everything a family would need. The setting is very peaceful, with a short walk to Bantham. We will definitely be back. Thank you to our host, Astrid.

A tranquil escape in the valley close to beach
We just returned from a wonderful week away in this beautiful log cabin . It was a tranquil escape away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The log cabin is so cute but so well equipped. It has a wonderful " gin and tonic" seating area which was wonderful to return to after being at the beach. The host Astrid was amazing .We will definitely come again. Great location
We loved staying here. Quirky log cabin, everything we needed was here. Very peaceful location with bird feeders attracting loads of visitors. The view across the valley was delightful, a complete family of cows, feeding calves & the bull was wonderful to see every day. Not a common sight on todays farms. It was all great. Thanks, Astrid, & for sorting out the dressing gown I left behind the bedroom door!

Wonderfully peaceful hideaway.
Willows is a really charming hideaway in a beautiful Devon valley that is surrounded by nature. Astrid, the owner, regularly tops up the bird feeders so we spent hours relaxing in the garden just watching the birds and listening to the cattle lowing in the field across the valley. The garden is surrounded by a wooden fence so would be great for young children. The wooden chalet is beautifully decorated, well equipped and extremely comfortable. Can’t wait for our next trip with the grandchildren next time.

We had a great week at the property. The property was exactly as advertised, was perfectly clean and well equipped in a peaceful spot. We enjoyed relaxing in the sun at the property and walking to the beach though the walk involved some uphill sections.

Country and coast idyllic retreat
The cottage was absolutely lovely and well equipped. Astrid was an excellent host, she even put up Birthday banners, gave us cards and my sons Easter eggs upon arrival, as a lovely kind gesture. The willows is a beautiful site with wonderful views, gardens and lots of birds to spot. We even had a pheasant and woodpecker outside the window. A great location near Bantham beach. We loved our stay

Lovely area of Devon and a perfect base
The house was brilliantly well-equipped especially the kitchen. It was warm and cosy and we loved watching the birds on the feeder (nuthatch, woodpecker to name a few). We did some great walks around Dartmouth, Hope Cove, Bigbury and kingswear (all from all trails). Astrid was super friendly and welcoming. We would definitely like to return.

Great stay at Bantham
Just returned from a very relaxing week at Willows. Astrid was lovely - made us feel at home right away and had lots of helpful local info and the chocolates and wine were very welcome! The property was clean, with a newly refurbished bathroom and everything we needed for our stay. No mobile reception (which was actually a bonus for us!) but good wifi so we could keep in touch with family/work if we needed to. Not far from the amazing Bantham beach (you will need to drive there) and the Sloop inn where we enjoyed a few fantastic meals. Really felt away from it all and so quiet at night but only 10 minutres drive from Kingsbridge for all the essentials. Thank you Astrid - look forward to seeing you again!

Charming holiday cottage
Willows is situated in a lovely rural location. We were surrounded by nature and loved watching and listening to the birds, wildlife and farm animals. It is extremely comfortable and very well equipped. I highly recommend it.

Lovely remote property and ideal for keen walkers like ourselves. Well equipped chalet with plenty of wildlife, particularly birds. Parking for 2 cars and pubs within 5 minute drive.

The Willows is absolutely perfect for peace and quiet but very convenient for the beautiful beaches nearby. The cabin is spotless, really well equipped and gets the late afternoon sun so it’s wonderful to sit out with a drink after a day at the beach. Astrid was a fantastic host and left some lovely welcome gifts- we would love to return!

What a great lodge with everything you could possibly need. Very clean and an easy check in. Astrid the host was easy to contact and very friendly. Beds were very comfortable and the lodge was very warm despite it being cold and stormy outside. Great shower. Would highly recommend.

This is a lovely cabin in a beautiful part of Devon. We had 4 adults, a toddler and a dog and we fitted in (larger child or more rambunctious dog may have been an issue though!) Everything we needed was provided and the property was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The big selling point here is the location; you wouldn't know you're in a busy area of the South Hams, at night it's so quiet and we spent a few lovely nights with wine and music, watching the night sky. Bantham is about a 30min walk or 5 min drive (the walk is not for the achey of knees) and the nearest supermarket is about 10mins drive away. We will definitely be back!
