Riverfront cottage with kitchen and patio
O'Connor Island is a 1.5 acre island in the St. Lawrence River. The cottage is on the highest part of the island, 40 feet above the water, with extensive decks and unparalleled views of the river. Enjoy coffee out front in the morning and cocktails in the afternoon.

The cottage has a master bedroom with a queen bed and private half bath, and a second bedroom with bunk beds. The second bathroom has a tub and shower. All linens are provided. There is a large flat screen TV with satellite in the living room, as well as a Blu ray DVD player. There is also a small TV with a DVD player in the bedroom with the bunk beds. The WiFi works throughout the cottage and on the decks outside.

The kitchen has a microwave, coffee maker, and a four burner stove with an oven. Bring bottled water to drink. The dining room table seats 6. The sofa bed sleeps 2.

The cove is ideal for swimming. The boathouse can accommodate 2 smaller boats and there is extensive dock space which can accommodate boats up to 36 feet. There is shore power in the boathouse and on the dock outside for larger boats.

In the afternoon, enjoy the breeze coming off Lake Ontario. It the wind is too strong, retreat to the decks on the east side of the cottage where someone may be using the gas grill.

Tired of cooking? The Ivy Lea Club has a five star restaurant. It is just a few minutes away by boat. Menus are in the cottage.

O'Connor Island will be available for rental from May 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021, and from May 20, 2022 to October 10, 2022.

Rates are US $250 per night, 2 night minimum stay

O'Connor Island is only accessible by boat, starting in 2022 we now only have 2 options:

1 - Bring your own boat, launching is available at Peck's Marina (which is closest to the island but other options are available in the Ivy Lea area)
2 - Rent a boat at Peck's Marina, or at other close by marinas in the area

Former renters, I know in times past we have worked with yall with water taxi services to get you to and from the island. We have come to the decision that the liability is to high for you to be on the island without a way to get off quickly if there was some kind of emergency. I hope you understand.

Whichever option you choose, we will be there to greet you and show you around. The boat ride from your car to the island is 5 - 10 minutes.

We had a wonderful time on the island. The setting is absolutely ideal if you like privacy, seclusion, amazing views, watching sunrises and sunsets relaxing with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine depending on the time of day! What makes the place unique is how accommodating the owner is to his guests. Any other island we looked up suggested that we use a water taxi to get there. John took us to the island himself, and generously provided another boat ride back and forth during our stay to accommodate our plans, despite the fact that we came back late at night.

Another nice retreat on this beautiful island
This was our third time to enjoy the secluded and peacful island. We really love this place;-)))) What should I say, you don't go overthere for watching tv or films or going to bars. The island provides you with full relaxation! I love to sit on the deck and just watch waves of the water, listening to the leaves in the wind. It is very, very relaxing! Thanks to Shane and his lovely wife (Emily, if I recall correctly) for the water taxi! Thanks to Eric (owner) for the flawless communication! Thanks, Jeff for arranging the garbage! I hope we can go back to this beautiful place next summer;-)

5/5 Excellent

Lovely secluded island
Nice rustic cottage on a beautiful secluded island. My dog loved running around after his ball and we did not have to be worried about others (dogs, cars people or wearing /not wearing masks). Nice big trees, I love them. It is perfect for relaxation and enjoying some time away from everyday's craziness. Sometimes pleasure boats can be noisy but that is all. We really enjoyed our stay.

4/5 Good

Weekend cottage rental
Very relaxing and carefree. Million $ view and location

5/5 Excellent

Great escape
Wonderful place to hide away from the outside world without being too far from civilization. Take out pizza is just a five minute boat ride away.

5/5 Excellent

Privacy with a view
This was our second trip to the island and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back again. The cottage is in need of some updating but everything you need is there. Our boat was nicely protected tucked in the little inlet next to the boathouse with so many beautiful islands and real estate to explore. The size of the island is perfect for kids to explore and dogs to run free. The proximity to mainland, restaurants and a marina is comforting, while the views from the island offer peace and privacy.
