Located in Sakyo Ward, this inn is within 1 mi (2 km) of Chionji Temple, Kyoto University, and Doshisha University. Kyoto Imperial Palace and Heian Shrine are also within 2 mi (3 km). Demachiyanagi Station is 7 minutes by foot and Mototanaka Station is 9 minutes.
Very clean property with an attentive staff. Location was great with easy access via walking or bus to many of Kyoto's great attractions. Only issue came with an addition cleaning fee and tax that was assessed. Manager was open to negotiation on this issue, as we were only warned about the tax on Travelocity.
The place was tasteful and had everything I needed. In particular there was a microwave oven in the room which I really appreciated. The hosts were super-nice. One the best places I have stayed in Japan over the past 30 years
