The staff was amazing and the property is beautiful. I normally stay all inclusive and no kids but the property is spread out and spacious you can hardly tell kids were there. Food was a bit pricey but NO COMPLAINTS hotel transport is $170 each way but views are worth it and it is 3 hours away so that is fair.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. We stayed in a junior suite and it was very spacious, comfortable and clean. It had two balconies overlooking the volcano. I especially liked the breakfast with its variety of choices and the quality of food. I also loved the spa! It's something you have to try: a great massage and facial followed by a glass of champagne with chocolate-coated strawberries. The personnel is super friendly and addresses you by name. I wish they had a gift shop as we had to drive to the town for souvenirs. Overall, great experience, we would definitely come back and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy hot springs in a five star setting. it's also kids friendly ( I had my 11 year old son with me).

We stayed 2 nights at Green Lagoon. True to its name, we got the vibe and the feel of well being high above the town of La Fortuna. Very friendly and attentive staff - Andy at the front desk upgraded our room due to low season. Allen who oversees the bar and restaurant made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Christian who oversees the garden and landscape gave us a brief but informative free tour of the resort ground; we learned its mission and vision of providing a well being retreat (yoga, meditation, healthy diet..) for visitors and a sanctuary for area wildlife. It is still a work in progress on preparing its programs which Christian hopes to be available to guests by Sept 2016.
This resort is one of a kind. It is high above La Fortuna. From the pool area to villa's porch, amazing view of the valley. Our villa was huge and comfortable. There are other units above ours that have even better view. The standard rooms seem small and are by the pool area, can't rate them as I didn't stay there. The pool and Jacuzzi could use a face lift however. There are frog ponds, lots of fruit plants and trees, organic gardens through out, birds- toucans and hummingbirds etc...Included breakfast was very delicious.
Resort serves as trail head for the hike to Cerra Chato (free for resort guests). We opted to walk 15 min to the waterfall ($12 entrance fee), love it. We also walked to town, 40 mins.
Memorable part of our journey; highly recommend for a out of beaten path experience!

Grounds and view of volcano awesome. Standard room was very large, clean and comfortable.Ice cube trays would be helpful in fridge.
I stayed as an single female guest. It would have been appreciated to have a room closer to main area.I had left a note for H/K that my rear patio door did not lock properly. It was promptly fixed. In July it is dark at 7pm and walking to room after dinner a bit intimidating.
Hot Springs and Pool area was clean and inviting. Incl breakfast was adequate. I dined at restaurant most evening and found menu only good but overpriced.
I booked all activities thru Travel Costa Rica Now. At time of booking the hotel website did not promote activities but did mention them. Over All I plan to return, would only change location of room.

Nice room with safe and other amenities. Helpful staff willing to book tours which hotel has arrangements with. Staff was unable to book for other tours. Pool not operating for 1 day while we were there. Nice pool area and sloth in tree by pool.

Attractive room with great view of Arenal, but they had installed low wattage energy saving bulbs so very difficult to read in bed and shave in the bathroom. The bathroom shower was like a faucet - no spray - but plenty of volume. Otherwise, a nice breakfast, pleasant and helpful staff and flowering trees and bushes that attracted a variety of birds.

In general, Good hotel and great owner! He helped us a lot :) we only stayed one day but it was very near to the Baldi hot springs and also near to the main bus station. At night it was a bit noisy as our bedroom was very near to the street. Also we heard people next door but we were so tired that we slep well.
