Welcome to Daydream Inn, a peaceful, vintage lakefront home on Bald Mountain Lake in beautiful Lake Lure. Professionally managed, cleaned, and professional linen service. 3 Bedrooms, 3 full baths. Sleeps 6.

Leave your worries behind and start daydreaming! Enjoy great outdoor spaces and activities including spacious deck, screened porch with outdoor dining, private dock to fish or swim from, firepit and use of 2 Kayaks/SUP'S. Bald MT Lake is a private, non-motorized lake, fishing license is not required. Daydream Inn provides guest passes for access to the Rumbling Bald amenities- pools, fitness center and private beach on Lake Lure. Additional amenities include: two championship 18-hole golf courses, driving ranges, spa with massage therapist, hair and manicure salon, miniature golf course, lighted tennis, pickleball, basketball courts, scenic boat cruises, boat rentals - contact RB directly for current availability/fees. Enjoy boating, fishing, and swimming in warm weather and hiking year-round.

DAYDREAM INN Layout:

MAIN LEVEL: Daydream Inn features an open floor plan with Great Room, fully equipped updated Kitchen, Dining Area table with 4 chairs plus Breakfast Bar with 2 additional seats. Great Room has gas fireplace (Oct 1- May 1), Smart TV and plenty of seating. Great Room, Deck and Screened Porch overlook Bald Mountain Lake and private dock. Gas grill on the deck (propane supplied). Screened porch dining table with seating for 6. Master Bedroom has 1 Queen bed and private Bath with walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 with two Full size beds, and Bedroom 3 with two Queen beds, share a Jack-n-Jill Bath with combination tub/shower. 3rd full newly remodeled Bath is located adjacent to the Kitchen. Easy access from a large drive and paved parking area to Main Entrance. Parking for 3+ vehicles.

NOTE: 8 Guest passes are provided for free access to Rumbling Bald amenities-beach, outdoor pools, fitness center, however, there are additional charges for golf, court time for tennis/pickle ball, mini golf, boat rentals, special events. Contact RB directly for more information.

DAYDREAM INN outdoor amenities include:

Great with a few requests.
My requests are to put a king bed in the master bedroom so my wife and I can sleep together. There is plenty of room. Also, blinds on all the windows in the master. I had to move many things off the counters and cabinets to the laundry room to make room for our dry goods.

Sisters getaway
Stayed at this amazing lakefront home for a long weekend sisters getaway. It was beautiful, clean , cozy and full of charm. The online pictures do not do it justice. From the cabin to the location and amenities the home came with was wonderful. We swam in the lake, took peddle boat out for a little ride. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to make your own meals which we did after some sun and water time in the lake. We would recommend 100 percent. Also near the town of Chimney Rock with adorable shops and good eats. Next time we plan to stay longer !

Wedding weekend

Wonderful home on Bald Mountain Lake next to Lake Lure. It was the perfect family lake with no motorized boats. Kids had a blast! Parents we’re able to relax. Thank you for hosting us.

beautiful views, peaceful location. My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom and I had the best nights sleep in ages and would love to know the make and model of the mattress. The access to the Rumbling Bald is a definite bonus. The kayaks, peddle boat and floating dock were very much appreciated.

Perfect lakefront home
This property is safely nestled in a safe resort, on a mountain, and directly on a beautiful lake. The first thing you notice when you enter the home is the amazing view of the lake from the living room, dining areas, kitchen, and master bedroom. The home is very comfortable and is well appointed with artistic whimsy inside and out. The water is only steps away and we enjoyed the dock, boats, and firepit. No reason to leave until your time is up. We loved it!

The house was very clean and well stocked. Sue was extremely responsive to all of our needs. The children loved kayaking and swimming in the lake. The amenities at Rumbling Bald were a real plus especially the lazy river. Because we had unusually hot weather we were unable to have dinner on the porch so my only suggestion is to have a few extra chairs for the indoor dining table. We were six people and two had to eat at the counter. It would have been nice for all of us to sit at the table.

This property exceeded our expectations by far! The pics were great but driving up and seeing the gorgeous lake right there just confirmed that we were in for a great trip. The owners have lovely taste and had everything that you would possibly want or need. We have a 3, 12 and 13 yr old and everyone (including adults) were entertained all 5 days. We will be back to this house for sure!

Spring Break 2021
We could not have been happier with our stay! We arrived in town and were having lunch since we couldn’t check in til 4. Then I got a text from Sue saying we could check in anytime after 2:30! Then she bumped it up even more to 1:15 once she knew we were already in town! This was awesome to be able to check in that much sooner! The house was so cozy and clean! It had all the amenities you need and then some! It is also close to the grocery so not a bad drive to get any food you might need. The house is the perfect distance from the water and the patio and dock areas overlooking the water are heavenly to have a cup of coffee by in the morning! Overall we were very pleased with our stay, Sue was very quick to respond to any questions I had and we had zero problems at the house. The only downside is not having GPS to help get around but after the first day we pretty much had our bearings and all was good! We will definitely recommend this house to friends and would love to come back! ~Amy
