8.4/10 Very Good! (1,002 reviews)
I was at the Campbell House for a conference. The hotel looks like a mini Tara from gone with the wind, but it’s on a busy main road. I’m assuming the building has been there forever and they just built other things around it. The friendly and helpful staff is the only reason I’m giving them two stars. It is a large hotel and hard to kinda get around so I walked a lot of the hallways and the carpeting in every single inch of hallway is so disgusting with stains and smells and it is awful. The first room I had the toilet wouldn’t flush and not because of me. Maintenance came up and plunged and told me it was fine. Two hours later it happened again - just toilet paper and I called the front desk and they said maintenance left so she asked if she could just give me a plunger. Great, sure. Then in the morning a new front desk person gave me a different room. That room carpet was just as disgusting. The smell coming out of the air conditioner - I’m worried about what is in my lungs. In the new room, the lamps, the only two lights in the room, flickered the entire time, but I didn’t want a third room, so I just turned them off and whatever. Our classroom for conference was great, that staff was great. The breakfast was not that great - cold everything and soupy eggs.
Positives: staff, comfy bed, good shower pressure but I will never go back. They need to clean and replace the carpeting badly.
