"You cannot fault the location of the hotel, within easy walking distance of the centre of Keswick. The staff are wonderful. I asked for a cocktail the bar steward wasn't aware of. However, when I to the bar the following evening, he'd looked up what was in it and was able to make me one. The food is very good, with a good choice and the dining staff are very professional. However what does let the hotel down is the interior decoration. It is very tired and worn and defiantly needs an upgrade."

Breakfasts were good; a bowl of fresh fruit and a better range of cereals would have been welcome. The hotel is in a very pleasant and peaceful rural setting."
