落ち着いた時間を過ごせる町

朝食がとても素敵でした。部屋は小さめに感じましたが、ロンドンのホテルに比べると断然いいです。町並みもしっぽりとしていて素敵でした。

central hotel could do with upgrade

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: location,price,character
Cons: the breakfast service seems to be a bit hit and miss. One day the service was very slow and meals arrived just warm. The next day all was well.
Location: central. 10 min walk from Rail Station. near pubs and restaurants as well as Castle, Museum, Library and shops.
The hotel was as expected, a tired old lady in need of a makeover. It is in a great location almost opposite the historic castle and central to town.Parking is behind the hotel and very reasonably priced. The staff were welcoming and pleasant.

A bit run down hotel room and 1st rate breakfast

Posted Jul 20, 2015
A crowded small bedroom and bathroom with leaky faucets. However the breakfast was excellent with both a full buffet offering and a fully prepared English breakfast made to order from their kitchen. All this in a beautiful high ceilinged chandlerd bright and sunny dining room.

Quick, smooth, efficient check-in.Had the Castleview room (303),not the most modern facilities but its a beautiful old building so what can you do? Lovely, very comfortable 4 poster bed and great blackout curtains so amazing nights sleep.Breakfast was a nice combination of buffet cereals etc and a really good waiter service. Staff make this hotel even better with polite, friendly service.will definitely stay here again thank you very much!

Close to castle, view of castle

Historical building, hails back to the 1600's, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Through the many many years and remodels has lost some historical ambiance, but the room was adequate, had wifi, and we had an issue where a shower did not work correctly and we were allowed to change to new room which was nicer- hotel staff was great.

A beautiful old building. The room was commisorate with the overall building. The breakfast was good, only downfall was there wasn't any gluten free bread. Comfortable bed and plenty of space in the room. We had a wonderful view as we were in the deluxe room. Would go back again for a weekend stay.
