8.8/10 Excellent! (2,804 reviews)
We stayed at the Burrard for one night, the lobby staff were helpful and quick at getting us checked in and settled. The area surrounding the hotel was unfortunately very noisy and the parking gate at the back led to an alleyway which usually had sleeping unhoused folks - they were never an issue, but I personally would not want to traverse that area alone. That being said, the parking structure seemed secure and we did not have any issues, though we did not keep any items in the vehicle overnight. The hotel had complimentary bicycles for us to use, which was very helpful because driving around Vancouver could be difficult. The bicycles were in varying condition but the staff were helpful in selecting ones that were most useful for us. On the second level of the hotel, there was a beautiful terrace in the centre of the square which regrettably, we didn't get to use much, but it would have been a terrific and quiet place to hang out if given more than one night to stay. The rooms themselves were retro-chic, but given the original 1950s architecture, they were small and lacked some amenities of more updated hotel styles. Notably, the bathroom/shower area were very tight. Overall, a comfortable stay with attentive staff. A cute hotel in a very accessible location of Vancouver.
