“I wasn't there long enough to form an opinion outside of my arrival and room. My 2nd message from Carey Lodge which likely contained my door code and some entrance instructions would not open so I had a bit of a hard time figuring it all out while exhausted and in a lot of pain. Expedia thankfully supplied the door code. I arrived 5 minutes after reception closed. Once to my room I.realized it had not been cleaned. I found a buzzer by the entrance and contacted someone i could not hear for a……

“The room is very clean. They make up the room very clean. We had a big breakfast and omelette which are very delicious. The waitresses Glenda and Vicky are very kind. Good experience in this hotel.”

“The history and location of the Sylvia Hotel make it a very charming venue. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant remains very good. The views are delightful. It always feels like a genuine holiday when I stay at "the Sylvia", even if I'm working. I love being able to walk to Stanley Park, along the English Bay beach and it's all just a block or so from a very diverse cross-section of shops and dining.”

“Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The room was quiet and comfortable. That being said, the sound insulation was not adequate. While this did not happen often nor late into the night, we can clearly hear the conversations of our next door neighbor and when they go out/coming into their room. We checked into the hotel after 8pm and gotten a wheelchair access room. So, the bathroom was big, but we didn't find any towel hook/bar to hang our towels. On the environmental side, this hotel provided……

“Basically it's a great experience for my travel. The location is perfect if you have planned to go to Capilano Suspension Bridge or nearby attractions such as Capilano River Hatchery. And it's convenient for reaching South Vancouver downtown (~ 15 mins).”
