Langmatt Museum Tours

The hotel has great air conditioning! I was there during a heat wave & the room temperature could be adjusted unlike some other nearby hotels. The staff was polite and helpful. The tram is right outside the front door and only 3 stops to the train station. My only suggestion is to have a mini fridge. It would have been helpful for cold drinks and snacks during the heat wave.

We loved having access to the guest kitchen including the fridge. The back terrace was in full bloom and a lovely place to sit in the evening with snacks and a drink after a busy day of being tourists. The breakfast was amazing with home made goodies (and we know they were homemade as we were in the guest kitchen getting water one day and the very lovely staff member was taking delicious smelling treats out of the oven!), a nice selection of fruits, cheeses, breads, etc. The staff were very helpful with suggestions and directions as well. Overall it was a 10 out of 10 experience!

Our stay at Beatenberg Resort was extremely disappointing and did not match the expectations created by the listing and photos. The property is much older and more worn than it appears online. The exterior looks weathered, rusty, and poorly maintained, and the overall atmosphere felt isolated and neglected. Even our children commented that it felt desolate. One of the biggest issues is the location. The resort is much farther from Interlaken than the listing suggests. If you are arriving with luggage after a long journey, getting there is very difficult unless you already understand the local bus system. Otherwise, you should expect to pay a very expensive taxi fare, which in our case was approximately €100. This is an important detail that prospective guests should know before booking. The rooms also lacked proper ventilation or air conditioning. The windows and doors were left open, which allowed flies and insects into both the building and our room, making the stay uncomfortable. Our arrival experience was equally frustrating. When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk for approximately 20 minutes. We walked throughout the hotel calling out to see if anyone was there before finally finding assistance. After a full day of international travel, this was not the welcome we expected.
