It was a pretty nice place and overall I was happy with my stay. A couple things I wasn't happy about. First I had called several days before the trip and upgraded the room. When I got there, I was told that the upgrade was no longer available and that I should check the next day. Second, even though my Expedia package said "resort fees included", the hotel charged me the resort fees. Thirdly, not a huge deal, but as my son was channel surfing, he somehow charged up 3 movies that he didn't watch. The place isn't overly crowded, I like the easy access to the other MGM hotels and the bathrooms were very nice in the casino. Good access to Starbucks, food, treats, etc.

Long story short but there was a murder in the hallway outside our room (blood on walls, organic material on the carpet, and the carpet was a little squishy from what I assume was blood. Feeling unsafe and unsettled we asked to be moved to a different property but was moved to a different floor. They also would not go get our belongings to move to a different room and made us walk through that crime scene THREE times. The first time we passed to go downstairs a hotel security guard started questioning us and made me very uncomfortable. The second time we went back the hotel personnel were describing what happened in graphic detail and the security guard again stopped us to question us. The last time we walked to our new room with our stuff. Lesser properties would have absolutely comped an upgraded room at another property hotel (I used to do night audit work at Hilton properties). We even asked about that option. Basically we were just ignored and sent to another area. It almost seemed the hotel staff was annoyed at us for bringing any of this up. I work in administration at a Police Department in California, I will be telling every first responder I know to never stay at this property ever again. It was the absolute worst experience.

The room temps didn’t go lower than 75 F degrees so it felt warm all the time plus the air conductors are really dirty. The walls are so thin you can hear the person in the room next to you opening a bag of chips, so you are forced to speak quietly all the time. The iron doesn’t work properly and the room does not feature any type of fridge or microwave.
