“Room smelled horrible, like onions. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable. Struggled to get good sleep here. Breakfast was also bad.”

“We had booked a nonsmoking room but then got confirmation of smoking room. Was told no nonsmoking rooms left as were booked solid. You could tell by the cars in lot and people in casino and hotel they were not booked solid. We arrived there at 5:00 pm and were told that our room was not ready as still cleaning when check in was at 4:00 pm. This was very disappointing as we had driven all day. We were told that staff had until 7:00 pm to clean rooms. We did not get a room until close to 7:00 pm. ……

“Front desk help was awesome, hotel has gone terribly down hill. Everything is run down and broken or dirty, bed head boards look 30 years old, cracks and nasty places everywhere, elevator broken, doors not working. Place needs complete update and cleaned. Seems it’s just been completely ignored and left to go to hell. Used to stay there alot and was always pleased. Now it’s not good.”

“After traveling all day we got to the Hillcrest only to find out they did not have all of our rooms. They tried to get us to share the room they had. No phone call to let us know ahead of time. No help in finding us another room. Their thought was that I reserved 4 rooms and they only had 3, that I should still take the 3 rooms because I reserved them. We ended up at going back north to a hotel we passed 30 miles before. Very unhappy that Expedia would even list this property.”

“We were in town visiting family and found this home to be the perfect location and size. Great location to historic downtown and to Cincinnati. The house is spacious and clean. Also nicely decorated. We weren’t sure of the check out expectations, but we cleaned up appropriately just like at any other rental. A suggestion would be to leave detailed instructions at the home. We were there Thursday-Saturday so we did take care of the trash cans at the curb like instructed in the app. Would……

“We loved staying in this charming little cottage. The yellow door and yellow chairs drew us in and we were not disappointed! Sitting on the porch and watching fireflies and squirrels and listening to bird song in the quiet neighborhood was a daily highlight. The beds were comfortable, the shower was great, and the kitchen was well-appointed. Although a 1890 gem, it didn’t smell musty and the only evidence of its age were the wonderful interior transom windows. We highly recommend the……

“The property is located in such a lovely peaceful setting. Early morning on the patio listening to the birds is calming. The inside of the property is charming and everything is spotless. Very nice and we will return if we ever go back through the area again.”
