“Firstly this isn’t a hotel. It’s a self-service apartment. No breakfast! We didn’t meet a member of staff during our 3 day stay. The room was stunning, super view out onto the canal, plenty of space across two floors (duplex). I’m nearly 70, live in a bungalow and suffer mild back problems occasionally. So here’s the downside, the apartment was on the top floors with over 50 steps up a narrow spiral staircase. Not for the feint-hearted. It wouldn’t put us off returning but you need to be……

“The building and location are lovely. The suite was nice but a bit worn down—it would benefit from some TLC given the price. A staff member who helped us check out was lovely and kind. The staff member who helped us check in was unhelpful and very sour, borderline rude. Not a good fit for the hospitality business. Warning; though the room was advertised and billed for 4 people, when we asked for linens for the sofa bed they charged us 50E. On the other hand, there was no compensation for……

“Property is in a beautiful area of Leiden. The staff was exceptional - friendly and helpful. Enjoyed my time there. ”

“Clean, well -run, loved the quirky decor. Although it"s on a busy little street with bars and "coffee shops" and there can be noise at night, it"s very secure (four automatically locking doors between our studio and the street). Central and close to the station. You can easily do day trips all over the Randstad. The staff are very nice. Don't worry about arriving when reception is shut, the digital keys work.”
