It was okay for a few day stay. The room floor was really sticky and around the bed was so dusty. Our back door didn’t lock and had to use a small bar to keep it locked. Bathroom definitely needs to be remodeled, rust on lights and holes in the wall. Tv remote didn’t work , also the fighter place wouldn’t turn off so it was always so warm in the room. There is a quite time placed on wall in hallway but all neighbors upstairs and downstairs were very loud at night with music blasting,slamming doors,loud doggies. Very hard beds but glad we brought blankets. Parking was a nightmare!!!!! But for a night stay or 2 tops is doable.

New bed that was the worst bed I have ever slept on. I actually wanted to leave. The pull out futon was dirty with dog hair, bedding smells like wet dog. Plug in by TV coffee pot was not working. So no not a good stay. Nebors dogs cried, people in hall were loud. You can hear everything outside the rooms. Someone was smoking outside by the doors. And someone on the patio was smoking on back patio.

Anniversary get away

This is our second stay at this property. My husband and I stayed for our anniversary. Overall it was fine. It had a “veiw” of the ocean and we could hear the waves which we liked. The room itself was exactly like the site stated. Like a studio or hotel room. It had a small fridge, microwave, futon sofa, TV and bed. The only thing my husband and I found to be underrated was the bed! It was so hard and uncomfortable that we both didn’t sleep well. Which was unfortunate as we took this as a quick getaway to rest and relax away from our kids. We would stay again, just bring extra padding for the bed.

Misleading ad

Let’s start with that 10-digit entry code you must punch in every time you want to enter the room, not a good first impression. Fairly clean room except for the curtains and wall where a headboard should be, they had heavy dirty stains, and my impression was dirty, greasy hair, so I pulled the bed away from the wall to the middle of the room and slept at the other end. The gaps in the door would whistle occasionally with the wind annoying. This room is a handyman’s nightmare all repairs were done wrong, and it is noticeable. Too bad you can’t find decent rooms that don’t require a second mortgage, but this one was almost affordable.

Affordable, good location

Lovely little room with an ocean view. We failed to discover the heater until night two (it’s a small panel to the left of the gas fireplace). We needed a neighbor to help us figure out the door lock — it’s a long code that you enter into the pad on the door (so, ignore the lockbox right next to the door, despite what the instructions said).

Good for what we needed

There really wasn’t a lot of options for parking, considering the amount of guests that were there. And the trail to the beach was decent but once you get to the part of actually getting on the beach, you have to climb through a bunch of huge rocks. So we only made that trip once, then drove to a spot where they had parking and easier access to the beach. Other than that, definitely put directions somewhere on how to turn on the shower. We just took baths since our stay wasn’t long enough for me to need to wash my hair (we only stayed 2 nights) but a shower would have been nice. The deck was ok to sit and relax and read a book. But the apartments are right off the highway so you get the ocean sound mixed with traffic sounds. But the affordability was perfect for what we needed. Who really stays in the room when they’re at the ocean anyways? There’s beaches to explore and adventure to be had outside of the room! :) definitely would stay again.

Not clean/ maintained

Bedding looked like it had been slept in and just remade. Sheets were very dirty and he hair on them. The pillows had large yellow stains as well. Toilet tank was cracked in half as well as the toilet seat. Sliding glass door handle was almost completely broken off.

Paper thin walls

Enter ing the building we went immediately up the stairs which were dirty with big wads is hair. The toilet tank and seat were cracked. You could not sit on the seat without getting pinched. The walls were so thin you could hear everyone in every room, there was no privacy at all. The TV did not work. No sugar for coffee. Very disappointing.

Out of service

Room was clean except for coffee cups. Gas Fire place did not work. Toilet took 30 minutes to fill and top was broken. Bathroom fan did not work. Outlet coffee pot was plugged into did not work. We had to set on floor by another outlet. Rented for two nights but left after first night. Left message with manager but got no response. Ocean view was more like power line/transformer view. Luckily they don’t take care of property so we had deer eating the weeds in the am. Maintenance at this location is not!

Clean room, South LC

The room itself was clean. Stairwell and hallway not so much. Parking lot spaces are very narrow!! Overall, for a quick weekend away it was just fine!! Fire place was a nice touch!!!

Really nice beach studio with an ocean view.

It was a clean, handsome room with a view of the ocean! I liked the wood floors and the gas fireplace! It was quiet and the bed was remarkably comfortable. Great access to the beach and it was a lovely stretch of beach. Thanks for the kitchenette. I would recommend supplying paper plates to help with using the microwave. The room would be much nicer with the addition of a bedside light, since the overhead light (the only light) is too bright for the evening. Thanks for a great spot to unwind! Note- there are a lot of additional fees on this rental that make it a lot more expensive than the listing suggests. Still, a great choice.

Probably will stay somewhere else next time

It was kind of intimidating going into the bldg. People coming down a very narrow staircase, children screaming and crying. Dogs were. barking. The balcony was barely big enough for one person to sit and the chairs were crowded. No screen on the patio door, so was stuffy at night. We did get a good view of the sunset despite all the power lines dangling everywhere. The beach was difficult to walk to and was more than a few blocks away.

Gaps in Listing

Listing implied, through photos, that motel rooms opened to the outside, but when we arrived we discovered that our unit (Salmon) was inside a building with an enclosed, unventilated common area. Confirmation email indicated that we had one dedicated parking spot, that was first come first serve. We understood that our rental included parking in the lot, but that it might not be right next to our unit. We arrived back late to discover NO parking left in the lot, and had to leave our car out by the side of the highway and hike up to our room. The property manager was responsive, but said there was nothing that they could do about either situation. And I was left thinking that if I choose to stay with them again, it will be up to me to question everything or be disappointed!

Would go back to every year!

We lost our hotel key 1st night and got one to get back in. Left my jacket in the room they mailed it back to me. I had such an amazing experience! The beach was mayby .5 mile walk. I absolutely loved it here!

I would not stay here again

The overall feel of the complex was sketchy. The bottom lock on the door felt extremely flimsy and the key did not work for the deadbolt. There were no windows in the unit, only a sliding glass door which did not have a screen to let the cool air in. This was unfortunate, because the pilot light on the fireplace made the small unit uncomfortable warm. The bed was very firm, which I typically don't mind, except it felt like some springs were broken and poking up. My 6'1" 230lb husband had to take a bath, because there was no obvious way to turn on the shower. We later found there was a hidden pull down lever in the tub spout. We awoke at 6am to screaming toddlers next door and someone playing drums(sounded like a child). I would not reccomend or stay here again. I did not feel safe in this unit, as there was gang affiliated graffiti behind the building, a dark pathway that obviously looked used that also ran behind and around the unit. the balcony seemed very easy to access as well. we arrived bery excited for a once a year getaway from the kids and left very dissatisfied.

Adequate

I missed the part about pets in the information. The latter half of my stay there was a lot of dog activity. My room was adequate and I enjoyed the view. Beautiful sunsets. I don't own a cellphone and needed bedding and towels.
