Great stay great staff but no coffee til 8am in lobby so grab the night before

The property itself is beautiful! The room was lovely and the whole aesthetic was very calm but cool. It’s right by the wharf so you have a short walk to the beach, the seals/sea lions, the arcade/boardwalk, and different restaurants and cafes. The bath/shower products smell great and the in-room waters, food, and fridge sodas were all complimentary! Staff were all very nice and the valets were super personable and on top of things. There were some small details that left us leaving at the end of our stay with a “meh, that was just ok” feeling. - our room had no “do not disturb” sign to use which led to… - room service came back to collect dishes at almost 9pm and knocked on our door when we were already asleep - room service was quick but we felt it was pretty mid quality. We skipped ordering breakfast to the room because dinner was lacking. - room service brought up our stuff with a couple plates covered but then a couple plates completely uncovered (just some concern with it traveling though the hotel unprotected and also losing heat) - paid for late check out in advance but they shut off our key so we couldn’t get back in our room then they couldn’t correct it so eventually had to send someone to let us in to grab our stuff For the price of the room, we just felt like those things should have been thought through/neutralized already.

The room was dirty and I'm very sure the bed sheets/blankets washed.

We enjoyed our stay at Chaminade! It was quite, staffs are very friend and the food at The View was fantastic. We will come back again in the future.
