“The apartment was really wonderful. The communication with Tomas was excellent and his generosity as a host was great, I really appreciated the unexpected included snacks & food, drinks & toiletries. There is a handy kettle and toaster with some crockery and cutlery enabling you to eat breakfast in if you wish (there are nearby bakeries and grocery shops).
The location could not be more convenient, As a light sleeper, I was a little worried it would be noisy but the shutters and double glazing……

“We were in the middle of town just off the main promenade and only had to climb about 6 steps with our luggage when entering at the Pile Gate.
I don’t believe there were any amenities as there were only 6 rooms? The did provide bathrooms and beach towels.”Fred

“The apartment was amazing. High ceilings, lots of space, very clean and well equipped. The apartment is also bang in the centre of the old town which made it easy to get around.
Hosts were very fast at responding as we had some issues with hot water but they replied to us quickly to help fix it.
However there are few things to note if you're thinking of booking this apartment:
The apartment is above a takeaway shop and lots of bars and restaurants so it is LOUD until about 11pm - midnight……Stephanie

“I loved the patio with tables and chairs and the terrace views were the best. I thought climbing the stairs was a great workout especially after eating Gelato in Old Town. This was a great base for bicycling to Ciro trail in Bosnia, biking Konavle valley, along the coast and inland along the mountain. Epic Croatia was great bike rental.

“Great location inside the city walls. There was some street noise but it quieted down by 11pm. Large room and bathroom, newly renovated. Probably best if all was that there were very few steps to the main level. Easy check in and out. It was nice being close the the old town activities. We left our bags in the entry on check out for several hours and they were still there when we picked them up. Also. Very nice secure luggage storage office a couple alleys away. Good stay!”Heidi

“During my recent stay at Rixos Dubrovnik, I booked the top-tier Spa Suite, expecting a genuine five-star experience.
Unfortunately, nearly every interaction fell short: examples:
- At checkout, I waited over 25 minutes for a bellboy despite multiple reminders until our butler stepped in and we nearly missed our flight
- At breakfast, a manager passed a simple coffee request to a trainee, and only after multiple repeats did the butler fix it.

“On the first night of my stay, the showerhead broke halfway through my shower, and the water temperature was hard to control. I ended up finishing the shower in a very awkward and uncomfortable way. Later, when I was about to go to sleep, I found that the air conditioner remote had no batteries, so I had to go the whole night without any air conditioning.
