“We had a lovely stay at Ivo and being hosted by a local family. The patio had amazing views of ocean. We reccomend getting a beer at nearby pizza place after a long day and drinking it up here. The bathroom is shared with the family, unless you book the room with the private bathroom. Our hosts were great and booked us a taxi to the ferry in the am.”
“This is an amazing hotel! I've never felt so personally tended to by a hotel's staff. This is a tiny boutique hotel and everyone is so dedicated to making sure you have a great experience. The location right by Pile Gate was the first draw, but the service, amazing made to order breakfast, and beautiful modern rooms with so much attention to detail in every feature is what makes this hotel truly above and beyond!”
“The property is in an excellent location right in the heart of the old town and it was maintained to the highest level (just as you see them in the photos). It truly felt like a luxurious room/suite and the only thing about it that you could comment on was that the aircon made a bit of a strange noise but other than that it was pretty perfect. Whilst it didn't affect us, the building in which we stayed doesn't have a lift. Would stay again.”

“Very good location in Old City. Surprisingly quiet as it is on a side street very close to main center of the city. We bought the city pass for 1 day that included the wall walk and entry to several museums and attractions that we walked to with ease.
Clean, good AC and has its own hot water heater. Dehumidifier was an added bonus. Kitchenette was well equipped, though we did not cook there. Just made coffee and ate pastries from nearby grocery store. Highly recommend!”
“During my recent stay at Rixos Dubrovnik, I booked the top-tier Spa Suite, expecting a genuine five-star experience.
Unfortunately, nearly every interaction fell short: examples:
- At checkout, I waited over 25 minutes for a bellboy despite multiple reminders until our butler stepped in and we nearly missed our flight
- At breakfast, a manager passed a simple coffee request to a trainee, and only after multiple repeats did the butler fix it.
- A pre-booked dinner request at their restaurant……

It is beautifully modern with a bath and separate shower.
Great, thoughtful ideas have been added to the room and it is in the walls of the old town.
I would recommend.”
“Hilarija, the apparent hotel manger, was great. She was accommodating when we needed to extend our stay by a day. She was genuinely concerned when one member of our party was not feeling well, asking if a physician was needed, and even suggesting that a pharmacist might be of help.
The hotel was nicely located within the walls of the ancient city and luckily for us was located in the level portion of the city! Other accommodation locations within the walls could require mounting many stairs……
