A mixed stay, initial check in was slow and lacked any enthusiasm which often sets the tone for the stay. Upon entering our room it hadn't been set up correctly, I.e. 2 adults and one child. No bed set up for child. I rang reception and received no answer. So went back down and was told that when someone was available the room would be sorted. We went down for a drink in the bar and when we returned, nothing had changed. We relaxed for a while and watched some TV but the remote wouldn't change the volume which was too loud. So again I went down and reminded reception, which was unmanned that we were still waiting for our room to be sorted and remote wasn't working. Both issues were then dealt with my the duty manager very promptly. Food was really good, and was pleasantly surprised at the way our food was presented and managed when we asked if we could eat in our room. Breakfast was also really very good, bit pricey, but excellent choices. Overall a good stay, just let down by reception. Upon leaving, that was also very slow and we were in a hurry.
