“Fab house very comfortable and superb location right on the beach opposite St Michael's Mount. Only negative (unless you are a trainspotter) is the adjacent railway line but trains are no more frequent than about one every 10 minutes and don't run through the night. “Beautiful location for this really special place to stay. We had two night here. Although we didn’t have great weather, it hardly altered as the hotel has lots of cosy places to sit and look out on the truly stunning gardens. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. Thank you to whoever found my husbands watch and called us so we were not too far away to come back for it! Another highlight is the hotel’s own soap products which smell amazing and are available to buy. Sadly they had run out……

Great for early morning walks to the beach, and if you want to explore, most things are a short driving distance for hikes and other breathtaking nearby beaches. “I liked this apartment very much. Everything I could possibly want or need was provided. The view, particularly from the bay window, was wonderful. The steep steps up were a bit disconcerting but I got used to them and the apartment was definitely worth the steep climb. Unfortunately there was no internet access (an EE issue I gather). Also the kettle didn’t work. I just used a saucepan.”

However, room service was not provided during my 3-night stay that made the atmosphere a bit chaotic, especially the toilet hygiene.
