“We stayed in a room that had a shower over the bath, quite a step to get out, we feel a bath mat should be provided. The towels are lovely and big, the bed was very comfortable but the pillows need replacing. Nice place to stay as it’s an easy walk into town. Yes we would stay here again.”

“Quaint old stone cottage style building with lots of history, beautifully preserved and decorated. Very comfortable bedding, modern shower with push button control. Conveniently located to town center, shopping, and bus stop. Restaurant on site was excellent as well. Staff was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. ”

“The hotel is situated in a fantastic location with great views, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about what guests expect and they deliver with ease, the rooms are unique and comfortable which complement the amazing views The car park is ample and safe for hotel guests and for restaurant diners our continental breakfast was great and accompanied by a barista coffee, well worth the visit and looking forward to visiting again ”

“Room OK but bathroom sink absolutely tiny. Shower so small could could hardly turn around. Very old shower head with poor flow. Staff OK but not made to feel welcome. I guess you get what you pay for.”

“Excellent breakfast. Very attentive staff. Room was very comfortable with little extras like bottled water and cookies on arrival. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was large with nice soaps.”

“Ideally located opposite the River Avon,. Lovely outlook from the front of the property overlooking park and River Avon. Check in was fine and plenty of parking to the rear. Old building which has been furnished nicely inside but could do with some external work to windows including cleaning of windows and frames. The room was adequate and the bed had a mattress protector but one of the pillows had three blood stains on which was quite concerning. The receptionist did apologise and said……

“Idyllic setting in a peaceful Cotswold village with beautiful gardens and views but still close to other towns and villages. Very nicely furnished bedroom and a fantastic large bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Only slight negative to our room (Pheasant Nest) was some noise from bedroom above (creaky floor and running water). Thoroughly recommended”
