Atheneum Suite Hotel

Atheneum Suite Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"We love the Atheneum, returning to it time after time when visiting Detroit from out of state. There are many beautiful new hotels downtown, and we have stayed at several, but most times we can’t justify paying 50% more somewhere else when the Atheneum is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. The staff is too-notch too! Also self-park across the street is clean, well-lit, and relatively cheap. Perfect spot."

"Our stay got off to a rough start in that the previous guest left her cat behind. No food, water or litter. The response from the host was somewhat delayed and I called VRBO customer service. Everything was straightened out and the next day the cat was picked up. Our stay was fine from then on.I have 2 recommendations: explain the parking situation in the listing and install a railing on the front steps."
