Park House Farm Cottage is a beautifully presented barn conversion on a working farm close to the thriving market town of Malton in the heart of North Yorkshire. Offering original features and spacious open-plan living on the ground floor, this Yorkshire holiday home is ideal for two couples or a small family looking to explore this area. Step inside and be welcomed into the heart of this holiday home, boasting the rustic features of wooden floors and exposed beams. The farmhouse-style kitchen sits to one end and offers a host of modern appliances. With long runs of worktop space, there is plenty of room to prepare a delicious evening meal which can be enjoyed at the dining table close by. French doors lead out to the enclosed patio and from here there are great views out across the open countryside. Enjoy an early morning al fresco coffee or spend the evening during the summer months watching the harvest being brought in. On an evening snuggle down in front of the wood-burning stove and catch up on your favourite soap opera or perhaps catch a late-night movie. Completing the ground floor accommodation is a toilet which is tucked away under the stairs. After a long day exploring the area climb the steep cottage-style stairs to the first floor and find two very pretty bedrooms both of which offer vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and en suite shower rooms. These rooms are decorated with antique furniture and are quite pretty providing twin or kingsize beds. Step outside and take the public footpath to the village and enjoy a drink or two. There are miles of walking and cycling opportunities around the farm so do remember to bring your bikes with you. A little further afield is the pretty market town of Malton which is known as the ‘foodie’ capital of North Yorkshire, famous for its monthly food festivals and a myriad of independent shops, tea rooms, and restaurants.
Castle Howard, famous as the home to Brideshead Revisited and more recently Bridgerton is just a short drive away; offering a packed programme of events throughout the year including a Proms spectacular during the summer months and one of the UK’s leading Christmas experiences. In under 30 minutes, you can be exploring the ancient cobbled streets of York or walk the golden sands of Scarborough’s South Bay. The North York Moors National Park, Whitby, and Dalby Forest are close at hand. Spend a little time at Eden Camp, too, which is just down the road. Park Farm Cottage is a perfect base from which to explore this beautiful part of North Yorkshire and provides a stunning base to return to each evening.
