My husband and I spent 3 nights at this hotel. I was so impressed. This is a wonderful hotel. The staff are friendly and attentive to the guests. The facility is clean, room clean, modern. The price was affordable. The area is convenient to shopping and dining. I would stay here again. I highly recommend everyone to stay here.

The room was comfortable but the hallways had a sewer smell and the casino was not very clean. The best part of the property was the pool.

We have stayed at the Tropicana before and we do love the idea of not ever having to leave the building. We did get a nice long walk in on the boardwalk which we do enjoy, but mostly we stayed at the Tropicana and ate there as well. We were very impressed with all of the restaurant selections and the food was actually very very good. I would definitely stay here again, but the rooms or at least our room was showing a good deal of wear and tear, but it was very clean. The rooms do need updating.

Room was okay, nothing to brag about. Bed was very uncomfortable and the heat/ac was loud not to mention we had cleaning staff ringing our bell to clean our room at 9am!!!! We have till 11am to check out. Was not expecting to be woken up to that.

Staff was very friendly. We have been coming to Wild Dunes the last 7 year's for long weekends. It was supposedly upgraded and here is what we found. They removed the carpeting in the suites and replaced with cheap imitation hardwood flooring. Turned the shower on and turned faucet to hot and got cold water, turned faucet to cold and got hot water. Only new noticeable upgrade was they now have a digital keypad to enter the rooms, BUT the keypads are not backlit so you cannot see tge numbers at night to enter the code. The main automatic entry sliding door sounds like it wants to fall of the tracking as it jerks open. The worst part was we were sitting watching TV and a mouse came out from under the dishwasher saw us and went back uner the dishwasher. Overall it is not updated. Same appliances, TVs, DVD Player, 2 burner stove, bathroom is very dated with the toilet seat literally about 14" off the floor. Not impressed at all and am definitely considering finding a new regular place to stay for our long weekends. Wild Dunes was better before it was so called upgraded........
