Hugely disappointing! Check in was a shambles, it took well over an hour, we had to queue to get a clipboard to fill out a form, despite providing all the information the previous day online as requested which was a complete waste of time, then wait for our name to be called to complete the check ...

This is a very special property and hotel. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return again someday. Just be aware that the surf and winds on the Atlantic side of the island are more pronounced so if you want tranquil water you would want to stay on the west side of the island. But this is ...

Transportation is a bit iffy, as buses are unreliable (or come by roughly every hour at best), but it is a quiet and safe residential area.
I would certainly recommend the Terraces at Mangrove to anyone visiting Barbados.
No bugs, we were surprised. We were able to drink the water. Felt safe. Temps were cooler than when we left Florida & always a nice breeze. I read about "Island Time", but everyone was early or on time.
