Transportation is a bit iffy, as buses are unreliable (or come by roughly every hour at best), but it is a quiet and safe residential area.

The apartment was spacious and just what we needed when our flight home was cancelled. Our host greeted us and provided all needed information.

The Crane is a lovely hotel with a long history. The hotel staff are friendly and very accommodating. The hotel has a few nice restaurants nearby but most attractions or city visits require a taxi ride. The host waited up for us as our flight got in really late, however i kept him informed. On entry to the apartment the first impression although sparsely furnished, the place was very clean with fresh bedding and towels. I would certainly recommend the Terraces at Mangrove to anyone visiting Barbados.
No bugs, we were surprised. We were able to drink the water. Felt safe. Temps were cooler than when we left Florida & always a nice breeze. I read about "Island Time", but everyone was early or on time.
