“The room is immaculate, there are nice touches like ground coffee and a french press, first time I have had this even in £500+ a night rooms. There is plenty of free parking on the street outside. The only thing to be mindful of is that there is a big step both into the room and the bathroom for those with reduced mobility like myself - this is in addition to the 6 steps i was aware of. There is no aircon or fan so we opened the bedroom and bathroom windows and it was fine. Old school air……

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spotless and had all the facilities we could possibly ask for including a secure private garden section with decking area, perfect for the dogs. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, all consisting of excellent locally sources ingredients expertly cooked. The property was conveniently located a short drive from Chatsworth House, Bakewell and a number of other tourist attractions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again or to recommend to others.”

“Lovely friendly welcome and chat, room was cosy and bright and clean, bathroom was amazing with a fantastic shower, the staff were all brilliant. Sally on reception and Ben behind the bar. Then Derrick was waiting for us to come back from the pub with an umbrella as it was pouring with rain and a pint and lovely chat he even showed us around the property. Great breakfast and lots of conversation . Altogether lovely place to stay. Thank you all ”
