I've been to Mara a few times, this is truly one of the best places to stay. I believe it's a new camp - excellent location, close to the main gate but also in the nature to make it feel like you're within the park.
The views are breathtaking, one of the best sunsets I've ever seen! Good, cozy vibes as well, the staff is so friendly. You're basically in the middle of the Mara nature.

Good hotel with friendly staff. Unfortunately as we checked out and reached the jeep to take us to the airport (extra $45 pp) the receptionist came running claiming EXTRA payment of $75 pp per game drive. This was not stated anywhere nor were we informed at any point. This was sad end to an otherwise good experience.

Unforgettable Safari Experience with Outstanding Staff
We recently completed a 4-day, 3-night stay at Entumoto Safari Camp, and it was truly a wonderful experience. From the very start, the hospitality was seamless—the team was right there waiting for us at the airstrip as soon as we arrived.
A massive shout-out to our guide, Purity, and our spotter, Amos. They were exceptional at tracking game and sharing their knowledge, but more than that, their warmth and hospitality made them feel like...

Mara Major Camp is the perfect place to stay for an authentic Kenyan safari experience. The lodge staff are local Maasai that truly make the place special. We were the only guests at the camp because we stayed at the beginning of the rainy/off season and they were so attentive to us, taking care of all our needs. The food is great and the chef works hard to present you wonderful meals. He also catered to our weird food needs. One of the Maasai took us on game drives around Maasai Mara Reserve...

This was my first stay at the intrepids camp and it was an amazing experience. From our fantastic game drives to the hotel service, every experience was beyond my expectations. Great staff and we highly recommend Raph as the game driver. He was well experienced and found us a leopard every day we went out, not to mention all the other amazing animals as well.

Their dining is superb, unlike any safari oriented place I've ever stayed, which is over 30 times. Their menu is extensive, and I mean first-class. You order one hour before because it takes time to create great food in the wilds of Masai Mara.. Simply amazing. I would go back just for the food.
Their overall service is excellent and the lodging/tents are fine. Maybe a little more lighting would made the women happier (my wife).

Went with my wife to Mahali Mzuri to celebrate our honeymoon. From the very beginning everything was wonderful. Hotel staff (special mention to Dixon, Anna and Bob) always made sure everything was perfect. The facilities and rooms of the hotel are unbelievable, same as the location where we were able to see lions, giraffes, zebras from our room! Thank you!

Ashnil has great facilities, delicious food, and VERY comfy accommodations. Their staff is very attentive and take great care of you. One of the aspects that I feel are especially important is the location of the camp. It is situated on the banks of the Mara River and right in the middle of the Masai Mara Reserve. Some of the other "camps" are located closer to the entrances and therefore a longer drive to be in the heart of game drive country is necessary. This is my second time to stay...

We love our stay at Emayan. We went with our 2 daughters (5 and 9). The staff was very friendly and kind with each of us. The food was delicious, with a variety of options, and several courses. The location was safe and the Masai staff kept us safe day and night. We booked this vacation last minute and we needed extra help and recommendations for our next city in Kenya. The hotel helped us to look for a reliable tour guide and a hotel for our next city at a wonderful price.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to go to Mara Simba?
The best time to go to Mara Simba is during the dry seasons, which run from January to March and from July to October. These periods offer optimal conditions for wildlife viewing and a comfortable travel experience.
During the dry seasons, the vegetation is sparser, making it easier to spot animals as they gather around predictable water sources like the Mara River. The weather is generally sunny with less rainfall, which means the roads within the reserve are in better condition, allowing for smoother game drives. This is especially true from July to October, which coincides with the Great Migration, when millions of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River, offering a spectacular natural event.
Travelers seeking a good value can still consider the shoulder seasons, particularly November to December. While there might be occasional short rains, the landscape is lush and green, and there are fewer visitors, potentially leading to better rates on accommodations.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?

Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy.
