"Adorable room, fun theme, perfect location, clean! Only complaint was it was a bit hot and no central air conditioning. We enjoyed our stay in August. The property is aged but sort of goes with the theme. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would recommend and stay again. "

"A great stay . perfect central location. Surprisingly good choice at breakfast. My only slight negative is that on hotels.com website I understood the parking was at he hotel , but was at a local q park. More finding places in a busy city and not able to easily go back to car to leave or collect things although a few mins parking by hotel ok for main luggage.Costly parking too despite discount ,Would however go agaon as otherwise perfect"
"Arrived before check in to leave bags. When we returned later we got our rooms really quickly. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Few minutes walk and arrive at shops, cafes and bars. We liked the quirkiness of the hotel. Slept well . We didn’t have breakfast. Would stay again "
"I come here to stay while I attend a film festival and it’s so convenient for the cinema. I have returned three years running. It’s a great hotel and the staff are genuinely lovely. "
"Fabulous room in central York. Very spacious and comfortable with ample parking. River walk is very close, as is the Shambles. Hotel let us stay in the parking lot even after we had checked out, allowing us to get in shopping and lunch. Great place to stay!"
