“We had a fantastic stay at The Rival Hotel. This beautifully restored Art Deco hotel, owned by Benny Andersson of ABBA, perfectly blends character with modern comfort. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A real highlight was the large windows that could actually be opened, letting in plenty of fresh air—a feature that’s surprisingly rare and much appreciated. The location in Södermalm is excellent, within easy walking distance of Slussen and the city’s main transport……

“beautiful small room! extremely kind staff. my plane was earlier than check-in, but they held my bags for me until the room was ready. I overslept and missed check-out by an hour and they were extremely forgiving! can't attest to the breakfast but the bed, pillows, robe, shower pressure, and all other amenities were amazing! there's no telephone, so be prepared to be completely unbothered. air conditioning was easy to control.”
