Organize some transport and visit Terre Haute, a shopping and transport center for the region, located about 16 miles (26 kilometers) away from Marshall. This bigger city has a number of tourist attractions, including Vigo County Public Library, Indiana State University and Clabber Girl Museum. If you have enough time, be sure to visit Terre Haute Convention and Visitors Bureau, Honey Creek Mall and Swope Art Museum before you return to Marshall.

Sample a little local culture with a little sunshine and fresh air at the region's fascinating open-air markets and farms.

If you enjoy the water, this is the perfect place to visit. Swimming is popular with the locals and another great outdoor sport is canoeing.
