The attention to detail incredible. Upon arriving I was offered the most delicious drink to cool off along with a cool wet towel. The owners are real artists and it is reflected everywhere in the home. As an artist myself I am totally inspired. This place is a real treat for the eyes. It is real oasis in a busy town. Well done. I will be back! Oh yes, the management team real class. Keep up the good work😄"

Colonial architecture frames bustling plazas where vendors sell hammocks and musicians play traditional jarana music. Take day trips to swim in cenotes with crystal-clear waters or explore Mayan ruins at Uxmal when morning light illuminates the intricate carvings.
This is a wonderful place to stay in Mérida. We were taking a chance on the location as Casa del Maya didn't appear to be in one of the more central areas of town (at least from what we could see on the map) but it's close to everything. There were shops and restaurants right around the corner and some of the major plazas were just a short walk away. Everyone out on the streets was respectful and polite and we felt very safe as 3 women traveling together. As for the hotel itself, it is small and...

Very nice setting. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Comfortable room, albeit simple.
Good breakfast in a "common table" format.
Conveniently close to most of Meridas main attractions (downtown)

Everything was perfect...the hotel was a quiet oasis in the middle of a bustling town. Impeccable decor, comfortable beds, immaculate rooms, huge, clean shower, great bathroom products. They even provided mosquito repellent in the rooms. Located a few steps from the best restaurants in town. Next time we're in Merida, we'll be back to stay!

Don't be put off by the rough roads and decrepit buildings in this area. Behind these funky doors is a beautiful oasis of calm and serenity! The main office is a few doors down the street against traffic so it's a little tricky to find. One important thing to know is that there are no televisions in the rooms.

The hotel had a great location, interesting design, and good amenities. Great value and close to everything. The only negative is that we got a room next to the living room and next to the shared kitchen, and although it was to be closed by 10 pm, guests used it to cook a very pungent smelling full meal, took them several hours, stayed until 11 pm, talking, making noise and making our room smell too much for the whole night. Room had single pane windows that do not isolate sound at all so you...
