Merida Old Town Vacations from $895

We booked our stay for a couple of nights, and upon arrival it took us a while to locate the entrance as it wasn't very clear. As we signed in at the reception, we were told that the hotel was under a 'soft opening', that meant some of the services weren't working a 100% and that me might find a couple issues, which we hadn't been previously informed of when we made the reservation. It was a nice place altogether though, with a nicely decorated apartment (albeit with a relatively outdated and not very clean bathroom), a good pool, but the breakfast could be better. Fantastic view from the pool, but there is a lot of construction still underway around the development, the noise was quite disruptive, not great to say the least. It would be interesting to come back after all of these details are sorted, construction finished, etc, to see if this hotel is really worth it.

They were understaffed- had to wait a lot to have dinner and the food was average but expensive

The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful and our room was lovely.
