Starting from the drive to the hotel through to our arrival back home: an amazing, relaxing time for myself, my daughter and granddaughter. I booked this hotel based on previous reviews. We were not disappointed.
Our drive to the hotel, took us through villages and my granddaughter looked in awe and amazement at the pumpkin carvings and figurines displayed outside in the villages.
Arrival at the hotel: the ladies on the reception desk were welcoming and extremely helpful with our checking in and pointing out certain things. Our separate rooms were the Double Room selections. Very clean and comfortable and views of the farmland areas.
We had dinner at the hotel. The Maitre D was fabulously welcoming. The waitressing staff were exemplary and the food was truly delicious. Adequate starter with quite a large portion for mains and an adequate dessert.True compliments and thank you to all.
Next morning we had a cooked breakfast. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, they were not able to offer the buffet. However, good portions for breakfast and we also felt comfortable if we needed to order anything else.
Time for us to check out came far too quickly. My granddaughter saying "I wish we could stay longer". It was a rainy morning and so we did not have the opportunity to walk around the gardens or play outdoor chess or tennis.
We will definitely be booking a return to the Horwood House Hotel and would definitely recommend to anyone who has not stayed there.
