The property experienced troubles on Friday 7/19 with the outages across the US. The staff had to deal with difficult people and a huge rush of people that were at an event. The staff, were resourceful, they were doing their best to be patient and work with customers to ensure that the best services were given. In the midst of adversity the staff kept their composure which is super important!

The clueless staff greeted us by telling us. We would get just two bottles of water and no housekeeping for the length of our stay. We were sent to a windowless room, even after calling ahead to say we would not accept one. When we insisted on being given the type of room we had reserved, the front desk offered us an upgrade, and sent us to a much smaller room. When we objected this, we finally had to get management involved in order to get the room. We actually reserved. We were told housekeeping would not be available to us, with the front desk, siding a Covid era policy as justification. We were told we could request housekeeping if we insisted, and when we did, they did not show up. Generally, the hotel presents. It looks nice. But the business lounge, VIP Access services, and all other perks simply do not exist here. It was one of the worst hotel stays we’ve had in a long time.

The room was nice and the location is great. Two things to mention: 1) they did not honor my Expedia Gold eligibility for free room upgrade, even though they confirmed upgraded rooms were available. 2) reception staff were all very nice, though seemed they were not all trained to the same level. Every day we would ask for more coffee and sugar/creamer to make in our room, and every day they would give us something different (eg sweeteners vs. sugar, half and half vs. non dairy creamer, cups of different sizes). I’m sure this is a common request, and they should have standard kits stocked at reception.

Property itself was nice enough but on check in found bathroom floor was not clean having multiple “pee splatters” present near the toilet area. Had to request four times- 3 in person, one via phone, to have housekeeping come and clean floor before issues was resolved, over a 14 hour period. Very disappointing response given the cost to stay here.
