The BBQ grilles in front of our room facing the river were in good condition and charcoal and lighter fluid were supplied, so we enjoyed a BBQ facing the river in the evening.
On the negative side, you can't walk all the way down to the river due to heavy vegetation and there is no beach.
The main problem with the property was the reversed hot/cold water connections in our room's shower (room 11). Turning the lever to the "cold" direction (right) resulted in hot water, and placing the lever at near the midpoint of hot/cold resulted in scalding hot water (when you would expect lukewarm). Oddly, to get warm water you had to position the lever at the 5 o'clock position, which one would expect to be either very hot or very cold.
We didn't figure out the shower oddities until the morning, and informed the inn owner, who said she would have a plumber look at it. But when we checked-out an hour later and paid the extra $50 fee for our small dog, the front desk clerk didn't know anything about our complaint about the shower water situation.
An expensive inn should really make sure its plumbing is in working order.
