We arrived later and we got one of the last rooms left for the night, which was very nice and accommodating for the price we paid, but there was one minor issue, the flush valve on the toilet wasn’t working. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk, they quickly came to our room to see if there was an easy fix. After a few minutes of attempting to repair it, they decided to move us to another available room. The second room didn’t seem quite as updated as the first, but was still comfortable. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the toilet worked in this room. Toilet and shower/tub fixtures had much more wear and tear, but everything worked, so it was good enough for our one night stay. Monterey itself didn’t have many dining and entertainment options available for late arrivals, but that’s no fault of the motel.
