"Very relaxed stay. Short walk from station or book a taxi for a small fee if you have luggage. Ruriko-in temple and Mt Hiei cable car station is very close with lots of hiking and walking trails. We took the cable car up Mount Hieizan and enjoyed a nice, leisurely walk through the woods to reach Enryakuji's main buildings. We then took the local bus back to Kyoto's main station.
