Your property is absolutely amazing. It was perfect for our family reunion. We enjoyed all your amenities. Our grandchildren and adult kids loved the lake with the swing. The kitchen was a good size for our evening gathers. And plenty of places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. We may come back again. Lots to do all around as well. Thanks again.

Awesome Family Weekend

Beautiful retreat in Mt Hope...plenty of activities at he cabin and around. Minutes from the new river gorge and the host were very responsive and great to provide anything we needed. Highly recommend.

Rafting Trip

We booked this cabin to accommodate a large rafting trip and it was perfect. We had plenty of space for everyone was a great in between point for ACE and restaurants. Would highly recommend.

Family Friends-30th Annual camping trip.

Great for large group. Tons of space but challenging to work out the sleeping arrangements. The downstairs bedrooms were not as desirable. But then again, we ARE supposed to be camping! Lol! All in all a wonderful weekend trip with enough room to accommodate our growing families.

Perfect for what we expected.

We needed every bit of space in this very large house. It was exactly what we were looking for. Property was amazing! The owner/manager of the property went above and beyond to communicate and help make our stay a pleasant one. No surprises. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Property

We had 25 people, 1/2 adults and 1/2 kids from 6 months to 16 years old for a family reunion. What a great location for the large mixed group. There was plenty of space for games and of course the lake for fishing and swimming. Everyone had a great time. Lots of sleeping room and of course the kids loved the large play area for entertainment and sleeping in a group. Our group met here, traveling from down south in North Carolina and up north in Pennsylvania. We have been traveling to this area for years and this is be best place yet.

stay at maple fork lodge

The lodge was great and big enough for all our family. The kids loved the pond. We have a family reunion every two years and hope to have our next reunion there again. The family room was great for the kids and they had so much to do and was always kept busy. We loved Marley and the cat. Gave Marley scraps and water. We were just wandering what happens with Marley when no one is there. Does she get to go inside the house of does she always have to stay outside? She is such a great dog!!! Thanks again for making our stay so wonderful. The Stewart Family

Perfect place!

My wife and I chose to get married here at Maple Fork Lodge. It was the perfect setting for us - simple, rustic, and quiet. We chose the deck on the back pond for our ceremony and it was perfect! We had 28 of our closest friends and family come and stay the weekend with us. We had a great time as the Lodge provided everything we could need or want for a weekend and nobody had to go anywhere. The property's residence animals were awesome - Marley is a sweetheart and loves her belly rubbed! You can't go wrong with a weekend here! There is plenty of room to spread out and get some quiet time if you need it - yet cozy enough where you don't feel like it's a trek to the other side of the house. The backyard is spacious enough for yard games or to let your kids run amuk. The fire pit was well used all weekend and wood is provided. The kitchen is well stocked with the basics, there's TV, games, and internet. You can hit the gas station/mart about 5 minutes away if you were to need something or downtown is about 10 minutes away or so and has everything you could need or want. Overall, this is a great property with plenty of amenities, hiking, entertainment and space - all without being so far out that if you needed something it wouldn't be a big undertaking. Highly recommend Maple Fork Lodge for your events, getaways or reunions.

Home away from Home

We were so blessed to have found this gem! The location is not only easy to find, but it is only miles off the interstate, which makes it so accessible! We were a family group and arriving from multiple locations yet it took us all about the same time due to interstate travels. The house manager, Amanda, was very helpful thru the rental process and even during our stay. She really makes sure your stay is wonderful! Once you arrive, you will be amazed by this property. It is a quiet oasis and you will have to decide which porch you want to enjoy your cup of coffee on. Marley, the resident dog, was so happy to show us the swimming pond, even jumping in on our first tour. We had several try out the boats and swinging rope. The play gym was perfect for our little ones and the yard is flat, so lots of room to run those little energizer bunnies! The layout on the inside is great for a couple of reasons. We gathered mostly in the kitchen area and were able to put kids to bed in the upstairs bedrooms and not disturb their sleep while we continued to visit and play games. And the flip side, was when those pitter patter toes hit the ground level early in the morning, those sleeping in the basement were able to continue sleeping without being disturbed either. We shopped at Sam's club and Walmart and Krogers for our groceries that week. Because of location we went several times without it being a big deal. We cooked all of our meals there and found there to be sufficient supplies needed. We did bring our own crockpots. You will love the pantry they have EMPTY so you can place your goodies in a cabinet and not have to clutter the counter space with snacks! There are two ovens and a K-cup Kerieg coffee machine. We love to eat as a family and were able to sit all 14 of us around one table. (there are fold out tables and chairs if you need more seating) They even have a breakfast nook that seats 4 and we chose not to use that as it was not located next to the big table. So do not worry about not having seating! The sofas and chairs in the house in all the living rooms are wonderful. Warning for the couch in the basement: do not sit there if you are sleepy, you will NOT go to bed! I thought we might have issues with only having 3.5 baths, but that was not the case. And I never once heard anyone complain of running out of hot water either. There are plenty of TVs and games and toys if you do not bring your own. We are looking forward to returning in 2015!

23rd year of vacationing together! Spacious cabin, clean, fun play set for the kids. Enjoyed the ponds, caught a few blue gill and bass. Kayaked, jumped off the rope swing, made s’mores around the fire pit. Nice flat lawn to set up yard games we brought with us. Lots of seating on the front porch and back deck. Watched movies and utilized the exercise equipment. Close to Beckley that has grocery shopping. Recommend the Coal mine museum in Beckley and Tamarack art place. Drive up to the New River Gorge and had pepperoni rolls at Swiftwater general store. Highly recommend.

Great space for our large family

My 27-member family stayed here and we loved it. The kids especially loved the large outdoor playground and the loft bedroom so that they could all sleep together. The property manager and owner were both very quick to respond to any needs.

Amazing stay for large family!

20 family members traveled to West Virginia for a celebration of life, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. This cabin was equipped with EVERYTHING we needed- and there were 20 of us! Ample parking, seating, lounge space, and the best backyard views you can imagine.

Father & Son Rafting Trip

The home was very accommodating for our group of 11 Dads & 11 Sons for a whitewater rafting trip. We were able to spread out, cook great dinners, have fun playing backyard football and swimming in the pond.

Classic Country Cabin

Family Christmas/New Years Celebration. This Cabin had everything we needed. Plenty of space for our big family of 18. Beautiful spacious and absolutely gorgeous views. If this place had a hot tub it would be perfect but otherwise it was amazing. Can’t say enough about it and the host. Great cabin!!!

We had a great time! The kids loved the lake. Extra little amenities were appreciated. We had an amazing caterer (friend of the hosts). Close enough to attractions. I would let people know about the area as you approach the house--we though we were in the wrong place. The property and house (to quote by 7-year old grandson) were very satisfying.

Perfect setting

This proved to be a perfect setting for our large church youth group high adventure. With ample sleeping space, campfire for fireside chats, swimming/rope swing into the small lake, fishing and kayaking, this was a hit with the boys.
