It is a small city, seems like a village. Nice people, very good restaurants, close to Trieste and to Slovenia, as well as, the wonderful Slovenian's set of Caves and Parks.

Very easy walk to cruise port and train/bus stop. Entry is super easy to get into as long as you read your directions that he hotel sends you day before.
