"Mermaid's Delight" Oceanfront Beach House w/pool

Welcome to Mermaid's Delight, our oceanfront home in Garden City Beach where you can see the water from every level.

With 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and plenty of room to spread out, it's a place for the whole family to slow down together. And yes, that includes the dog!

Walk out the back deck and down the stairs, and the pool and private beach access are just steps away. It's your home away from home, perfectly set up for fun at the beach.

THE SPACE

When you pull in, the first thing you'll find is a big shaded space under the house with a picnic table and bench. On hot summer afternoons, it's the coolest spot around. Tucked under the front stairs is a stash of beach toys and chairs, so grab what you need and head out.

Step inside and you'll find a bedroom on your left with two twin over full bunk beds, perfect for the kids. A full bathroom sits on your right, and just ahead the kitchen, dining, and living room open up into one big space where everyone can be together.

Two large sliding glass doors lead out to the first level deck. From there, go through the gate and down the stairs and you get to choose: the pool or the beach. You really can't go wrong.

Upstairs, the back bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed and a twin over twin bunk bed, with a Jack-and-Jill bathroom it shares with the second master. You'll pass the washer and dryer on your way down the hall.

The second master has a king bed, a twin day bed, and full ocean views. Open the sliding door to the second level deck and keep an eye out for your mermaid friends.

Across the hall, the master bedroom has its own en suite bathroom, a king bed, a little work space, and a sliding door out to the balcony. It's a lovely place to start your morning with coffee and the sound of the waves.

Your dog is welcome here too. The shady patio downstairs is a great place for them to hang out with the family, and the beach is right down the stairs for early morning and evening walks.

GUEST ACCESS

The whole house is yours while you're here. You'll let yourself in with a keypad on the front door, and we'll send your code before you arrive.

The heated pool and private beach access are right next door. They're shared with the 10 homes in our little Portofino I community, so you'll probably see a few friendly neighbors.

You can park up to 4 cars under the house and on the driveway, one behind the other. We share the driveway with our neighbor at Siren's Song, so we just ask that you keep it clear. Boats, campers, trailers, and work vehicles aren't allowed in the community.

One heads up: there's no mail delivery to this address. If you need something shipped, you can send it General Delivery to the Murrells Inlet Post Office (654 Bellamy Ave, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576) and pick it up with an ID that matches the name on the package.

BRINGING YOUR DOG

We love having dogs stay with us! Here's what to know:

Up to 2 dogs are welcome, with a pet fee of $75 per dog per night. There's no pet deposit. When you book, please select that you're traveling with pets so the fee is included. If you're bringing 2 dogs, the fee for the second dog will be collected after booking.

Dogs are not allowed on the furniture, beds, or in the pool area.

From May 1 to Labor Day dogs are not allowed on the beach from 10am to 5pm. The rest of the time dogs are allowed while on a leash no longer than 7 feet.

Please keep your dog on a leash around the pool deck, lawn, and driveway, and pick up after them. Any damage or extra cleaning may be charged after your stay.

Service animals are always welcome at no charge. Since we're a dog friendly home, guests with severe pet allergies may want to keep that in mind.

LINENS AND TOWELS

Fresh sheets and bath towels are taken care of! Our linen company delivers them to the house before you arrive, and the cost is already included in your total. Pillows, comforters, and blankets are already here waiting for you.

Just a heads up, the beds won't be made when you walk in. It might be new if you haven't stayed in a big beach house before, but it's pretty common for homes this size. Grab a couple of helpers and you'll have everyone set up in no time.

Don't forget to pack your beach towels!

THE KITCHEN

You'll have everything you need to cook and share meals together. For everyone's health and safety, we don't leave consumables like oil or coffee, so plan a quick grocery stop on your way in.

STAYING CONNECTED

Every bedroom has a Roku TV for your favorite shows. We also have fast fiber internet (500Mbps) with mesh WiFi through the whole house, which is a big upgrade from the 20Mbps cable most homes nearby have. Great for streaming or getting a little work done.

THE POOL

The pool is heated from April through October, and again for Thanksgiving week.
