The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. The hotel is very clean n comfortable. Biggest asset is their staff. No corporate feel here. I have been in New York a number of times and stayed in many hotels and this one was the best.

The staff were all super friendly and responsive. The hotel is older but clean. The bed was a platform type and very hard/firm. The location is convenient.

Location was perfect - across from subway. The room was quite good only requiring some minor maintenance in bathroom and wall scratches. But really enjoyed stay and would return.

Decent location, has a subway station right outside the hotel, and 2 other lines a block's walk away. A few restaurants, a grocery within walking distance. Staff was nice, they will hold bags until check in. Rooms are dated, but I don't think that is unusual for this class of hotel. You could probably spend another $100 a night for something nicer. Breakfast is only muffins, bagels, and coffee (and milk). But at least they are decent quality muffins and bagels- gives you enough carbs for all the walking you will be doing. The AC unit was loud and annoying, but refer back to my point about this class of hotel. I would stay here again.

This property is very outdated. So outdated they do not even ask for a credit card on file lol. It was very simple, but was clean. Decor is ugly and it was not cheap. Very misleading when reading other reviews bc yes they were very clean and nice getting stars. And it was pricy and I feel like you are mislead to thinking this is a nice boutique hotel to stay at. I could have spent less & at the Hyatt. No restaurant. Not even glasses for the champagne I brought. Only paper cups.

Air conditioner did not work well. Sticky mess on the carpets. Generally run down, worn out, appearance. Pillows felt like they were stuffed with paper towels.

We booked a room for four. Rooms were good size and bathroom was decent. Courteous staff. Breakfast options limited to bagels and muffins. Located right next to metro train lines 1/2, so well connected to both Times Square or Central Park on north and downtown (financial district, Statue of Liberty)
