We have been going back to the hotel for the past 20 years. The sea views are outstanding as well as the staff and the hotel in general. Ideally placed for buses right outside the door going to Nice, Monaco and Menton as well the railway station down in the town for journeys all long the coast. Highly recommended.

The staff was very helpful, restaurant and pool are superb and parking is adequate. It’s a several minute walk to the waterfront of Villefranche but the cliffside views from this property are worth it. My only complaint was that there is no coffee available until 7:30am so if your an early riser, bring some instant coffee packs!

The room was clean. But there was no shower, no wash cloths, no shampoo, absolutely nothing to put your suitcase on, no chair. It was just a bed and toilet and sink. There was a bathtub but who washes themselves with just their hands? I would not recommend staying there.

Beautiful view. Great food. Nice staff. The hotel rooms are nice but the bathroom does not have towel racks or hooks to hang your towels on. Also there are no desks or chairs in the rooms to puts your things on. It’s the little things that make a diffence.

Disappointing stay this time… first room we were shown was dirty unattractive and shabby… requested another room which was better. Breakfast was a machine collision maker and self serve,,. The view is amazing. Staff are friendly. The pool was great with a view on the water. We've dined twice at the hotel and the food was great. The small fridge in the room didn't work. The hotel requires maintenance in general. You must be fit to go up and down to the port and restaurants. It is all up and down at Ville France sur mer.

The bathroom has only a bath with a handheld shower — not ideal, but we made it work. There was no complimentary water in the room, and toiletries were limited to a small pump bottle of all-in-one washing gel and a tiny bar of soap barely an inch wide — no proper shampoo or body wash. What was harder to overlook: only one key card was provided for the room, there were no hooks anywhere to hang towels, and there was no in-room phone to reach reception, meaning any request meant walking up four flights of stairs. When we asked for an ice bucket to keep our drinks cold on the balcony, we were met with visibly sour looks from staff, as if it were an imposition. The room itself was a decent size and looked recently renovated, which made the missing basics (like towel hooks) even more puzzling given these aren't expensive fixes. On the positive side, the balcony and bay views were genuinely great, and some of the staff were warm and helpful. Others were indifferent at best. Overall, the experience felt miserly for the price point. For what we paid, we expected better service and basic amenities to match, instead it felt underserviced and overpriced.
