I booked two connecting family rooms. Whilst the rooms were clean and nice, we saw an insect crawling on the floor. Also, the bathrooms were quite cramped, especially if one was 6 ft tall. My initial impression of the bathroom was good, but I found it to be too small when I actually used it.

Booked a room with queen bed and sofa bed with beeakfast through Expedia. On arrival they had all the details but initially told me breakfast was not included and had to show her my booking.on the ohone. We then got to the room it was just one bed. I went back to reception and was told that was all that was available and "Expedia shouldn't let me book a room that is unavilable". Nothing she could do to help. Only when I insisted they were going to have to provide a refund did she manage to "find" a room. Really poor experience

The staff are always friendly and helpful and I was pleasantly surprised to see the entrance & car park had finally been resurfaced. The hotel itself and rooms could do with some TLC and upgrading although the beds are comfortable and it’s nice to get some complimentary biscuits. It’s in a handy place just off the motorway and prices are usually quite reasonable

Positives: All the staff I encountered were lovely, helpful and friendly. This really made the stay. The breakfast was particularly good. I’m gluten free and everything was clearly labelled and gluten free products separated. Room service was nice, and fairly fast. The Moroccan skewers were great! The room and hotel was clean and generally looked after. Cons: When we arrived there was a problem with the air con in our room. It was so hot! However the staff soon sorted it and were very apologetic. Then the air con was amazing and made for a very comfortable room in a little heatwave! The phone in the room didn’t work. The usb charger port by the bed was broken. Small things but just let down the room a little. Overall though we had a great stay and would definitely stay again.

Peaceful location despite proximity to motorway. Family friendly. Great staff and good communication before we arrived. Rooms a little dated and in need of minor repairs such as cupboard hinges. Breakfast offered a good selection of standard options. Hot food underwhelming. Would book again due to location and staff.

Looked strange from the outside, not sure what the building used to be. Loads of car parking. Once inside the place was amazing support friendly staff, great bar and amazing restaurant. The carpets in the room were the cleanest I have ever seen in a hotel, the rooms were all redone and the bathrooms so clean. Would definitely stay again.
