Another great stay!

Our second stay here. The place is clean, surprisingly private even with adjoining units. We enjoy the close proximity to the beach and town, but just offset enough to be away from the busy traffic off the strand. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay! Thank you!

Sleep to the sounds of the ocean

Loved how close the ocean is to this property. The beach sand and pier is within walking distance. Nice people in the neighborhood. The owner and property manager are super nice and attentive.

Beautiful and convenient

Perfect spot to stay and enjoy Oceanside. The corner market and garage parking were unanticipated necessities. Highly recommend! Loved the balcony seating with partial ocean views.

The property is beautiful and near the beach, coffee shops, breweries and eateries. The only downside was the noise due to construction next door. Will return to this beautiful location once construction is done and noise level is not an issue.

Convenience and beauty

Perfect for me and kids. Walk to beach, super clean and comfy!! Few sand toys and beach chairs in garage. Back patio faces beach and can hear waves all night long 😊Would stay again!

Family get together

Rented all 4 units; front cottage and three additional off back courtyard Cottages were great for our purposes. They’re very well equipped with everything you’ll need for beach and cooking. Little kids could safely play in enclosed courtyard while adults sat at the outdoor table to converse.

Nice Place to Operate From

The upper unit we stayed in was generally nice, though the shower glass needs a little maintenance and the lack of AC made things pretty uncomfortable in the afternoon. As I have said though, its location was close to ideal, and the unit was basically well kept.

Clean but basic

Our stay was fine but the furniture in the bedroom was a bit flimsy. It was chilly at night and the heater didn’t work and the bed had no blanket on it and no extra blanket. The location was good and having a garage was great.

Great location

Property is located on the second story. Check in process is easy, 2 car garage and secured gates with key code provided was a plus. Location is about a 10 min walk to beach access and walking distance to great restaurants. It was nice and quiet no heavy traffic, just the sound of the train but most of the time we didn’t notice it. No AC, we went in June and as soon as windows were open and fans turned on it was a nice breeze. Would stay there again. No issues checking in or out as clear instructions were provided. The only thing I would take are some warmer blankets , just sheets and bed cover provided which worked out.

Clean and airy property

The property was exactly as advertised. It was easy to access and because it was on the second floor had a nice cross breeze from the ocean even though there’s no AC. There are also fans in the unit to help air flow. The rental also comes with private access to a 2 car garage which was convenient for parking and also to store our stroller and beach gear during our stay. It’s not a bad walk down to the main beach area and pier (but not right out the front door which is with noting) we ended up driving each day and parking was reasonable. We had one small issue that needed to be addressed (the front key-lock pad battery was dying) and the host was communicative and quickly had the battery swapped out. Would definitely stay again.

Great, basic rental!

5 stars because it is exactly what it says & owner is great to work with! Just want to note a few things. Laney is very responsive and communicative via text. We noted a couple of small issues for which she already had plans for repairs. She also had a ring camera installed by the back gate during our stay, which combined with the keypad-access gates helped us feel safe and secure. Neighborhood is fine, just close to the strand. Does have ocean views! It’s a few blocks from the beach itself. Nice to have the natural white noise of the ocean at night, though the nearby train also provides a soundtrack (this is noted in listing and didn’t disturb my children at all). Totally adequate for our needs/budget, it is no-frills. Glad we brought extra beach towels, as there are 6 provided and w/ no dryer in unit, probably wouldn’t have been dry for our 2nd beach trip. Beds and pillows were fine, just firm. Kept our meals simple and did not do much cooking, which was good because the pots and pans were more worn than I prefer. I missed in listing that beach equipment is not provided by owner (though I asked and was fully informed before stay). Past renters have left behind some items which we used and appreciated. At the time of our stay (Oct 2023), there were sand toys, 2 functional but rusty chairs, an umbrella, and a couple of old boogie boards. We brought our own boards, too. Overall a good stay and would recommend!

Constructive review

This property was ok and suited our needs. Good location with respect to the ocean: about a block away. The beach that is associated with the ocean access, however, is not really conducive to spending the day on: not a lot of "beach" to set up on for the day, and what little beach is there is wet sand. You can see the ocean from the balcony if you're standing or sitting in the two high chairs provided. The view, however, is definitely not "white water", which in my mind is being able to see the waves breaking. The view is also clouded by plexiglass, which needed to be cleaned, and the chairs on the balcony dirty, so we draped them with the beach towels provided. There were only 2 chairs as well out there, so if we all wanted to go out on the balcony and enjoy the see breeze and what I would call a limited ocean view, 2 of the 4 of us had to stand or drag the shorter kitchen table chairs out there, which are not tall enough to see over the solid part of the balcony. The apartment itself was clean. It was humid, warm weather which made the apartment quite warm and there is no air conditioning in the unit. Running the two fans that were in the closet in the kitchen was a must to make it tolerable to sleep. The small patio area had one older table and 4 chairs, and 1 well-used barbeque: this serves all 4 rentals! The picture of the front of the complex shows 2 garages and a driveway. The other 2 units' garages are in an alley. Plan on adding 1/3 more $ to the base rate in fees.

We loved how convenient and easy everything was at this place: garage parking, location to the beach, comfortable beds, beach towels available, etc. The host was phenomenal and even left beach toys and chairs for us when we enquired about them. The only thing we needed and didn’t have was a high chair. We are already looking forward to staying here again!
