"I love this, it is very unique and like a tropical paradise. Very clean, I even saw them turning out a room to clean it. Quiet sleep. Very nice full breakfast, scrambled eggs, waffles and pancakes, sweet rolls, and home fries etc, the only thing missing was biscuits and gravy. I highly recommend it. Very easy to get to and a few blocks to the ocean on highway 101."

"My second stay at Holiday Inn Express at Arcata was much like my first. Exceptional! The only minor complaint was the cleaning of the sheet metal roof during the day. It’s a petty complaint as it’s routine maintenance that needs to be done. It does not detract from my stay and experience in Arcata!! Hopefully they don’t get any negative reviews because of the work. "

"Property is well maintained and friendly staff. Was disappointed with Alice’s restaurant. Had requested a change of a condiment and it was not done. Told the waitress and she said she would have it corrected which was done however the sandwich was soggy when it was supposed to be grilled."
