"You NEED an SUV!! The cabin itself was very cute! We were not aware that our car would struggle to get over the railroad tracks and up and down the mountain. The road is narrow with lots of potholes and the turn to get onto the road where the cabin is located is steep. We needed to go up and down the mountain several times a day and it was not pleasant and took quite a toll on our car. The cabin was very cute! The property owner called us the first night to check and see if we needed anything...

"This was our second stay at Mountaintown Creek Escape and just as wonderful as the first time. Such a gorgeous property. The home had everything that we needed and is so comfortable. We cooked all of our breakfasts and dinners at home and the kitchen is well equipped. The balcony over the river is the perfect place for coffee and cocktails. We definitely spent most of our time out there. Contact with the host was easy and prompt. We love this vacation home and plan to return yearly!"

"Cottage was two blocks from downtown Blue Ridge. We drove downtown because of steep walk to downtown. The cottage was very nice, peaceful. Downtown Blue Ridge is great for shopping, restaurants and the Scenic Blue Ridge train."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a much needed getaway for rest and relaxation. The house was just about perfect. We enjoyed fishing in the river, reading a book in the balcony hanging basket chairs, having a fire in the fire pit, and the hot tub on chilly nights. The only downside at first was the very bumpy rough road to get there but, after the first view rides, we got used to it. Would definitely stay again."

"We picked Ellijay for a 3 day weekend for a quick getaway and somewhere that my husband could mountain bike. This was a perfect spot for us. The property is very well kept. The cabin is well stocked, had everything we needed, as is the RV camper. There is a large fire pit with plenty of wood. The little stream and bridge are a cute addition and you can relax in hammocks or the swing next to the stream. There's an extra building which I don't know what it is but it reminded us of a little old...
