“We have stayed here twice during MTU move-in week, and the location is convenient to Houghton, without all the chaos of trying to stay and park downtown. The cabin has plenty of room and the amenities are fine. My only concern is there are some electrical issues in the bathroom causing the GFCI to trip frequently, and the smoke detectors were both dead.”

“I was going to book at a higher end hotel in Ironwood, but decided to take a chance on the Days Inn in Hurley to save a few dollars. Turned out, it was every bit as nice as the other hotels that would have cost me more. I was very pleased with how clean the rooms and the hotel in general were kept. The hallways were clean with no dirty floors and no odors, which is real important to me. The room was perfectly clean, again, fresh with no odors. The bathroom was clean and the shower tub drained...

“If you are looking for a very clean, well functioning home to stay in this is the one! This is the kind of place where all you need to do is bring your personal stuff and show up because every time you come here everything is working properly and very comfortable. The home is newly renovated with great upgrades like a new fireplace and a brand new beautiful sauna! We have now stayed here the last few times we have come up to visit family in the area and we love it and will always chose this home...

“Having adequate electrical sockets in the room for CPAP, chargers for both of our cell phones, and our digital camera battery charger was a plus. Also having a box of kleenex was a plus too. Believe it or not several motels didnt provide any kleenex. Pool was not working when we were there. Would have been nice to have a night stands on both sides of the bed instead of only 1 side (Rm 106). We made it work by putting the CPAP on an office chair as our solution.”

“This was a great place to stay while exploring Porcupine Mountains, Keweenaw Peninsula, Apostle Islands, and Lake Superior Beaches. Nice central location. Host was excellent with communication. On Thursdays, you might even get the option for homemade pasties to be delivered. House is spacious, couches are comfortable. Many items provided to ensure you can eat at the house. Loved the experience”

“My sister & I just needed a bed for the night, so we grabbed the cheapest room i could find online,. I wasnt expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised by how well maintained & clean it was! It looks like the owner really takes pride in it! He was also super helpful & kind! I would easily recommend it if youre needing to just crash out a few hours but also its a comfy & cozy room if ya need to spend some time in it! And the added bonus... beds were comfy & EVERYTHING worked! Lights, coffee...

“My family loved staying at this house! It was nice to have 3 bedrooms to stretch out and have our own space. Plenty of cookware and I was very excited there was a crockpot. Family friendly home with games and movies to watch. I highly recommend this rental and would happily return in the future!”
