“My room and bathroom were both very large, well lit with a window and immaculate. I had a refrigerator and huge, wonderfully soft towels. The outside security window blinds were electric. The generous breakfast was wonderful including coffee of your choice, assorted juices, breads, charcuterie board and fresh fruit. The staff were all super polite. The location is ideally close to the beach, shops, restaurants and cafes. Salvatore arranged for a pick up and drop off from the Brindisi……

It is located on the east coast of the Salento peninsula. The Strait of Otranto, to which the city gives its name, connects the Adriatic Sea with the Ionian Sea and separates Italy from Albania. ![A particular of the facade of the Cathedral of Otranto. This small town, at the tip of Salento, is famous in  Mediterranean history for being besieged, conquered and sacked in 1480 by the Turks who attempted to build an Ottoman bridgehead on Christian Land. The last 800 men who withstood the attack were decapitated. The Otranto’s Martyrs’ skulls are stored in glass shrines by a side altar of the cathedral.
